We've lost most of the hedgehog population here, but see badgers more frequently. It's obvious what's going on.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

We saw hedgehogs every night during summer here until the population of badgers exploded about 20 years ago. It got to the stage where we were seeing badgers *during the day* in the wood! I haven't seen a hedgehog now for years.😭#badger 😡 #hedgehog 😍

They eat everything. Decimate any other wildlife in the vicinity they can get hold of.

They no longer have any predators to control them and they are a growing menace. A few are fine but they are over protected.
