Early Vedic texts (Yajurveda, Shatapatha Brahmana, various Sutra manuals), animal sacrifice is part of large-scale public rituals. Also sanctioned in scriptures related to Shaktism, like Kalika Purana, Devi Bhagavata Purana, and various Tantric Agamas. Baba needs to be updated.
