That’s so funny!! Other neighborhood kids had those costumes but my mom sewed real costumes for me and my three brothers and my dad painted our faces. We had like real theatrical costumes!!

Pillow cases as candy bags for us

In my neighborhood we made our own costumes. We never wore the cheap trash plastic costumes. Our costumes were not great. But we enjoyed making them as much as we enjoyed wearing them.

Pretty sure this is why I'm claustrophobic. Well, these masks and my older brother trying to lock me in our deep freezer, but the masks is what sticks with me the most.

Sometimes our Moms were motivated to sew silly costumes. One piece and I remember the pain it was to pee. If you asked for help to go, you got annoyed clap back.
