She said preliminary findings and CCTV footage pointed to serious lapses in mandatory safety measures at the work site. The incident occurred late Tuesday night when he had reportedly reached the bus station to catch a ride back home. According to police, Tauheed slipped into the uncovered drain around 9:30 pm. CCTV footage later confirmed the moment he fell into the deep sewer. Initial observations suggested he may have been under the influence of alcohol and accidentally stepped onto a partially open section of the drain. Rescue operations were launched immediately, with teams from NDRF and SDRF working through the night. Despite continuous efforts, there was no trace of the victim for several hours. Authorities then brought in heavy machinery from Rampur on Wednesday morning to break open the concrete slabs covering parts of the drain and to pump out water. Hyderabad - A hotel employee was allegedly assaulted by guests after he insisted on Aadhaar cards as identity proof while they were booking a room at Living Tree Suites in Bharat Nagar. The incident took place when staff member Akash requested the mandatory identification documents from the guests as part of the standard check-in procedure. According to the complaint filed by the victim, the accused reacted aggressively, attacked Akash on the head, and allegedly said, “We are locals. How dare you ask us for ID proof?” Akash sustained injuries in the assault and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital by his colleagues for medical treatment. With the Ganesh idol transportation and installation going on all over , some basic precautions have to be taken by the pandal organisers ,especially with the rains also going on. 📌water is a conductor of electricity, when a wooden stick is wet , it becomes a conductor too. So do not lift wires with wooden sticks thinking they are safe. 📌tall idols especially those with some metal wires at the top , if they get too close to the electric wires , the power may jump from the line to the idol , causing these accidents . Bandlaguda incident was due to this. So, I request all to spread this word and be extra careful while installing the idols and also during the festival time and also at your residences and work places. Hyderabad to Bangalore bound bus catches fire in Kurnool 25 feared dead At least 25 people believed to be charred to death after a private travel bus caught fire in near Chinnatekuru Kurnool early Friday. The Kaveri Travels bus was travelling from Hyderabad to Bengaluru when the tragedy occurred near Chinnatekur village. According to police, the accident took place around 1.30 am when a speeding motorcycle rammed into the rear of the moving bus. The bike went under the vehicle, hitting the fuel tank, which immediately caught fire. The flames spread rapidly, engulfing the entire bus within minutes. Several passengers trapped inside the burning bus The bus was carrying 42 passengers. While 12 managed to escape, at least 25 were burnt alive. The remaining victims sustained serious burns and were rushed to Kurnool Government General Hospital. Police said most of the passengers were residents of Hyderabad. Fire tenders and police teams reached the spot soon after being alerted and launched rescue operations. The vehicle was completely gutted. Authorities are trying to identify the victims.
