🏝️ Bali's trash burning problem has just reached new toxic heights This week, Bali's biggest landfill has been ordered to close. The landfill is a more than 35 meter high mountain of decaying trash covering 32 hectares. It's closed because the gases emanated from it are toxic and ground... water is being contaminated This means there's no other landfill of this size near to accept Bali's current trash. So the government has instructed people that "household waste should be disposed of at home" which in Bali means burning it! Trash burning has been a tradition for centuries in Bali (and Indonesia), but it used be mostly organic matter that was being burned Once plastic arrived the tradition didn't change though and locals started burning plastic too, pumping toxic gases into the air causing massive spikes of lung cancer and other respiratory diseases The tradition means on a daily basis around 7 in the morning and 6 in the evening, your neighbours will be burning their trash, and if you're not lucky there's a construction site near which will burn even more but all day! Burning plastic means you emit dioxins and furans, some of the most potent human carcinogens that exist I have friends in Indonesia with family with lung cancer cases, it's a real thing. My fear with Bali has always been that the digital nomads there might not realize the slow danger creeping up on them. You get used to the trash burning and polluted air very quickly in Bali and it probably doesn't affect you over a year or so But if you're there for many years, it will in some way or the other! Before every training session, the Sudanese national team lines up and the captain shouts "السودان يعيش" (Sudan Ya3ish) which means "Sudan is alive". This is a tradition that predates the war in Sudan but is a symbol that has taken on a whole new meaning in the last three years. Everyone in this team knows someone who has been killed in the war and they have been in exile for three years. And yet they are here at the AFCON, getting to the Ro16 and competing with the very best on the continent. For me, Sudan have already achieved more at this AFCON than any other team. السودان يعيش

One last stop in #bali to surprise a community that was in need of a new school with the BIG news that Lance Breitstein 🇺🇸🌎 has donated a new school for them and construction will begin this month and will be finished in a few months! Until now, these kids have sadly not had a place to learn, they just used some extra space in the community center which has been FAR from ideal -- thanks to Lance's generosity, they'll soon have their own school to learn in later this year! Everyone please retweet this and join me in thanking Lance for his donation as this will be his 3rd Karmagawa school and if we get 200+ retweets, he's promised me he'll actually come to Bali and visit these kids in person!!!

The past year has seen me have a renaissance, in the truest sense… I won’t go into details now but will at some point before long. What has brought so much happiness to my life and those around me this past year has been my falling back in love with sport. Cycling has, and always will be, my number one. Yet I’d forgotten that I simply love sport, not for results but for the sheer joy of doing it, I’d completely forgotten that the health of my mind is intrinsically connected to the health of my body. I’ve rediscovered the love I had for sport that existed before the world of professional cycling took over in the way it did. I’ve been pushing myself and trying new things this past year, indifferent to the results, just out having fun and at times going deeper than I thought I was capable of anymore. Last week I got on a TT bike for the first time in a decade, Factor Bikes built me a bike, I’ve been looking at it for two years and decided it was time to get fitted, getting back on it felt like going home. Anyway, the long and the short of this is that it’s inspired me to create a club to inspire and be inspired. A community for us to share our love for getting out there and doing it, because I’ve realized that although I spend most of my sporting life on my own I derive the most pleasure when feeling part of something. It’s in its early days, I’ve called it Sporting Club CHPT3 aka SCC3, I’d love you to check it out and join. It’s still in its infancy, but I hope it’s going to grow into something that will inspire you as much as me.

Iran launches symbolic missile attack against Israel, which retaliates strongly After Iran launched a symbolic attack against Israel in protest against the attacks on Beirut, hours later it was Israel's turn to retaliate, this time indeed with violence and hitting more than 10 targets in Iran, including Tehran airport and Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, Kermanshah, Karaj, and some other areas in western Iran. Israel used air-launched ballistic missiles from Iranian airspace and also dared to launch cruise missiles from ships stationed in the Mediterranean. The White House said the US had no part in the attack; however, strangely, American tanker planes were seen in the air. Refueling whom? It wasn't my motorcycle. There are two questions at this moment: One is that since the Iranian retaliation did not hit targets in Israel in a significant way, it is very likely that Iran still has a serious problem with the refurbishment and upgrade of its long-range missiles. And the other is that perhaps the US has not only reinstated THAAD radars and others but also added more batteries brought from Asia that were positioned in advance in the corridors. Be that as it may, the current situation forces Iran to retaliate and show that it possesses real means of inflicting damage on Israel. There will be no ceasefire in Lebanon in the way Iran desires, simply because Israel saw the quantity of missiles that Hezbollah accumulated in a short period of time and will not allow that again. Israel has its own agenda, its own interests, and they are completely antagonistic to the peace plan that has been discussed. Trump is trying to save his political skin, but Netanyahu will impose his agenda and Trump will be dragged along by it. But while Trump isn't dragged along, Iran seems to be wanting to settle scores with Israel, launching a new wave of missiles along with Yemen, which, by all accounts, has also decided to launch missiles against Israel. It remains to be seen what the level of these attacks will be. In the last few instances, the Houthis launched merely symbolic attacks. Join my substack and support my work:

gm, so a bit of a look ahead for BRAINROT COMMUNITY BUILDING > TRIALS > BURNS this weekend we launched the discord, working on the community API(CPI) for community members to start building whatever they want. Looking to launch the CPI early this week. working on the next big release which will be the agentic trials. each token gets trialled by a team of agents and receives metadata tags as a result. Trials will be replayable and viewable for every token. The metadata will serve a function when burning (more on that later) after the trials we will launch THE LAB which will be a place where you can manage your burns and modifying your remaining BRAINROTS after burns. This period right now is for building the community, and accumulating BRAINROTS. I have been talking about a few of these things in our private channels at greater depth, and will talk more about them in the near future. The plan for BRAINROT is to have the community have agency, choice and an active role in shaping the collection through burns, modifications and re-rolls. These will unlock new body types, new fashion and new accessory types and even more diversity into the collection. There will also be an option for creating legendaries which are custom designed either by me or an artist of your choice where possible. These will come at a great cost in burns though. It's been amazing seeing this community starting to grow, and if you have been on the outside looking in, don't worry, you are still very early, there is so much more to come. join us and rot your brains.

Writing this with eyes full of tears and a chest full of sorrow and pain My PET scan results came in and the tumor on my lungs that was few millimeters in size two months ago, is now 7x7cm and was labeled as very active So yes i’m in a cancer relapse, and it’s more aggressive than ever 💔 The hardest part for me is not the operations or pain or chemo sessions on endless nausea. To me it’s unintentionally dragging my family and friends and people around me into it with me.. I’m set to have my operation (biopsy) later this week or next week, to know exactly the type and level of cancer i have. Will keep you updated as always I will try to be as active and supportive as possible. Not going down without a fight Thank you so much for reading this and supporting, it means the world to me ❤️ Round 2 here we go

Usually I don’t speak on political issues often however Charlie Kirk’s death (RIP) hits a little too close to home. Perhaps it is because anyone who has some resemblance of a following who is outspoken against any narrative online has probably received some sort of threat in their inbox. (I know I have) It is baffling to me that one could harbour such a large amount of hate inside of them to want to have another silenced for having differing opinions than their own. I think about all my outspoken friends who are in positions faced to the public and of course myself and what this potentially means for all of us. This of course, would never stop me from speaking out to what’s right, so perhaps that is also why I wanted to make a comment. To me it is disgusting behaviour to mock/be happy about the death of people you disagree with that have done nothing wrong. I think about all my friends, family who could be wrongfully persecuted based off the delusions of perceived “sides”. The amount of hate manufactured and projected onto you for just living your life and not complying to a certain ideal is insane. I don’t like fear mongering but I also think it’s important to stay vigilant to what’s going on around you. It is a very real reality that there are people out there that hate you just for simply being you and what you represent to them. We’ve seen evidence of this twice this week and I suspect more to come unfortunately. I am always hopeful so I will leave this message on a positive note, that just as much hate has also been met with just as much love. There are many amazing kind hearted people out there standing up for what’s right and building community, coming together. Even if they are moving in silence behind the scenes or in front stage, I see you and I honour your work.

Getting a closer look at the site of the Israeli airstrikes earlier near Asadabad in Western Iran, we get a better understanding of what was targeted, with multiple empty transporter erector launchers (TELs) seen burning in the video. So it can be assumed that these were likely some of the TELs used to launch ballistic missiles this morning against Israel, resulting in their targeting and destruction by the Israeli Air Force.

So it can be assumed that these were likely some of the TELs used to launch ballistic missiles this morning against Israel, resulting in their targeting and destruction by the Israeli Air Force.

So, my opinion on what the Antarctic (Antarctica) Anomaly is that it's a type of frequency technology. It must be way more powerful than HAARP, as many have claimed it to be, because we would see these anomalies at other HAARP sites, and we don't, not like this. With that said, and I'm very much trying to avoid letting what I want it to be not play a part here, I think it is a technology that is being used either off the coast of Antarctica itself or Bouvet Island. A third possibility is an area just to the northwest of the island that looks odd. It's possible it is a sonar scan from a ship, but why in that remote location? It looks like an antenna set up or rows of something that is out of place. I also believe that the weather events and fires that have taken place in Africa could possibly have been because of this. Each time we saw the anomaly, it was followed by a destructive weather event in Africa. A weird connection to that is we have been told and warned of a very busy 2024 Atlantic hurricane season. This is in part because of the above-average Atlantic ocean temperatures, which is the fuel to Hurricanes. With all this info, it's possible to see how the Anomaly could be a frequency tech that can manipulate or create weather, And or WARM up the Ocean temps to purposely enhance the Hurricane season and Storm growth. Keep in mind that many of our hurricanes and many of the biggest hurricanes have come from the west coast of Africa and form over the Cape Verde islands before heading towards the Caribbean and the United States. This is all of course speculation, and I'm learning many new things every day, so this idea may morph over time as we learn more. The Sabotaging Practice of Over Supply and Sameness in the NFT Space. The current zeitgeist of the NFT space is that the same artists are doing the same kind of work five times a year, with project after project leaving a trail of disappointment and discontent among collectors and all of us watching in disbelief as huge resources are extracted from the space over work that feels like it could be left as an "artist study." I understand that you can do what you want with your money as collectors, but we are killing the whole space with this incestuous practice. No artist is that prolific to be able to do 5 collections of 100+ pieces each every year and actually deliver innovation and some kind of creative evolution. Of course, they can pretend play that the work has something new, but there is no precedent nor proof that that has ever happened in the speed that it happens in the NFT space. Again, people are free to through away their resources on whatever they want but with this way of doing things, we more and more are going to start seeing the consequences. Oh! There are consequences? Yes. Maybe unintended, but there are. Let's see. Let's start with the loss of belief in the NFT space as somewhere where emerging artists can come and find support for their experiments. Why even bother to bring experiments, innovation, and new ways to think of art on the blockchain if the same people have all the collectors hypnotized with their magical flutes? Why even try to come to a space where taking risks and challenging the status quo (the mission of art!!!) is overlooked? This makes the NFT space a social club and not a space for art. I guess it is fine, but IMO it is a recipe for disaster. New collectors stay away because the art will slowly but surely become stale and un-challenging. Why even bother to come and see what is happening here if you can't, as a collector, see new weird and up-and-coming artists? The amount of noise emitted by the same artists doing the same art over and over, drowns out any new voices. Again. A recipe for disaster. The NFT space is becoming a space of disappointment and doubt. We think that collections going to zero one after the other, over and over, is not damaging? I feel we are kidding ourselves. Disappointment piles up, and again, the people who will hurt are the emerging artists, the new blood, the ones who are willing to risk the most and, in return, put fire in this cold space of sameness. I love this space—don't get me wrong—it has changed my life, and I believe it has a ton of potential, but things need to change for it to become a beacon of light in art. But we need to support new voices. We need to support new ideas. The challenge is huge. I hope to contribute all I can to this change. I hope more and more see how exciting it is to go out and try to discover what else is out there and move this space forward. The Sabotaging Practice of Over Supply and Sameness in the NFT Space. The current zeitgeist of the NFT space is that the same artists are doing the same kind of work five times a year, with project after project leaving a trail of disappointment and discontent among collectors and all of us watching in disbelief as huge resources are extracted from the space over work that feels like it could be left as an "artist study." I understand that you can do what you want with your money as collectors, but we are killing the whole space with this incestuous practice. No artist is that prolific to be able to do 5 collections of 100+ pieces each every year and actually deliver innovation and some kind of creative evolution. Of course, they can pretend play that the work has something new, but there is no precedent nor proof that that has ever happened in the speed that it happens in the NFT space. Again, people are free to through away their resources on whatever they want but with this way of doing things, we more and more are going to start seeing the consequences. Oh! There are consequences? Yes. Maybe unintended, but there are. Let's see. Let's start with the loss of belief in the NFT space as somewhere where emerging artists can come and find support for their experiments. Why even bother to bring experiments, innovation, and new ways to think of art on the blockchain if the same people have all the collectors hypnotized with their magical flutes? Why even try to come to a space where taking risks and challenging the status quo (the mission of art!!!) is overlooked? This makes the NFT space a social club and not a space for art. I guess it is fine, but IMO it is a recipe for disaster. New collectors stay away because the art will slowly but surely become stale and un-challenging. Why even bother to come and see what is happening here if you can't, as a collector, see new weird and up-and-coming artists? The amount of noise emitted by the same artists doing the same art over and over, drowns out any new voices. Again. A recipe for disaster. The NFT space is becoming a space of disappointment and doubt. We think that collections going to zero one after the other, over and over, is not damaging? I feel we are kidding ourselves. Disappointment piles up, and again, the people who will hurt are the emerging artists, the new blood, the ones who are willing to risk the most and, in return, put fire in this cold space of sameness. I love this space—don't get me wrong—it has changed my life, and I believe it has a ton of potential, but things need to change for it to become a beacon of light in art. But we need to support new voices. We need to support new ideas. The challenge is huge. I hope to contribute all I can to this change. I hope more and more see how exciting it is to go out and try to discover what else is out there and move this space forward. It's been several months since I curbed my phone addiction and it is so profoundly noticeable that my happiness has dramatically increased. I completely dropped doom scrolling, the news, politics, brain rot, and limit social media to mine and my friends' posts only. All the general negativity on the internet is like living in a home where everyone argues and is upset, even if it doesn't involve you and you don't engage with it, just being exposed to it every day is mentally draining. It's subtle, it creeps up slowly, and you don't even realize how mentally taxing it truly is. Now imagine the feeling of living in a home where everyone is peaceful and laughs, the feeling is equally infectious. You can even test this out by watching Friends or The Big Bang Theory with and without the laugh track on YouTube; spoiler, it's painfully cringe without it. The effect surrounding vibes have on your emotions is so strong, and it's hard to notice most of the time. I now find myself having uncontrollable fits of laughter at least once a week, which used to be closer to once a year. It's important to note that the things triggering these fits of laughing were always there, the difference is that my perception has changed. It's figuratively like a laugh track is playing in the background and all of a sudden, everything is now funny. I'm not trying to preach and tell people how to live their lives, but it's something I felt compelled to share since it's helped me so much. The habit was hard to break because the algorithm is designed to adapt to every person and lock you in, but I did it by substituting the phone with other things I enjoy. Right now it's learning the guitar and swimming. I'm developing skills I've never had, and it only compounds the feeling of happiness.

A few friends I’ve met in the bitcoin community are thinking about leaving El Salvador after Bukele accepted a loan from the IMF. My wife and I moved here nearly 4 years ago and have absolutely fallen in love with the people. The food may be a little overpriced, the roads may have a bit too much trash in the ditches, the government isn’t perfect but we are staying. We are going to continue to build Casa Conejo in beautiful bitcoin mountain aka Los Naranjo’s because the air is cool, the views are spectacular, the soil produces abundant food and if you treat it right, you can live a healthy life. The country remains safe and THAT is the reason we are staying. No matter where you go in life you will find something that bothers you. We search for a bitcoin paradise but forget that heaven is not found inside of borders. It’s not accessible with any passport. No! Heaven is found within❤️💪🏻
