Sad news. We have said a fond farewell to the legend that was RPD Lenny, or The Lendog as he was known to his nearest and dearest, on the 25th February 2025. Lenny served with Devon Police Dogs and Devon & Cornwall Police for 7 years before retiring last year to his handler. Lendog was a legend and a fearsome police dog. He was walked by Paul Glennon Devon & Cornwall PoliceDogs, before he was handled to Ali, then Steve, and finally to Vikki. Lenny’s work was exceptional, his defense of his handlers unquestionable, and his tracking was outstanding. On one occasion Lenny tracked a suspected target arsonist over a mile through urban streets, around the houses, into a block of flats, up several flights of stairs, straight to a door, where the man was found washing his clothes & disposing of evidence. No visual aids, no descriptions, no doorbell videos, just extraordinary nose work. On another occasion, Vikki stopped a car and the occupant turned violent, throwing her against her vehicle. Vikki managed to release Lenny & he unhesitatingly detained the suspect who proceeded to grab Lenny in a headlock, punching him repeatedly in the face. After another chase, the suspect, who was high on drugs and alcohol, was apprehended by Lenny who refused let go, despite his earlier attack. The criminal was successfully prosecuted. Lenny was a legend, admired and respected. and he will be greatly missed, not just by Vikki, who adored him, but by everyone who knew this truly unique personality - including us all here at the NFRSA. It was our privilege to take care of the entirety of Lenny’s final bill. Sleep well Lendog, you’re safely over Rainbow Bridge, and rolling in any mud you can find. You deserve your rest. Thank you for being you. 💜

Mount Nemrut: Where colossal stone gods guard a 2000 year-old mystery.... Mount Nemrut rises more than 2,000 meters over Adıyaman province 🇹🇷, its slopes fading from olive groves into bare rock. From a distance, it looks like any other peak in the eastern Taurus range — until the colossal heads come into view. They sit in a solemn line near the summit: great stone faces, their features softened by centuries of earthquakes, frost and sun. Far below, goats pick their way through dry grass while the wind blows across the landscape. It’s hard to know what’s more surprising: encountering these giant heads near the summit of one of southeast Turkey’s tallest mountains, or the fact that anyone believed these would last forever. But that was King Antiochus’s dream — to build a mountain where he could sit among deities, his power carved in stone and locked in an eternal staring contest with the horizon. Antiochus I ruled a state called Commagene that briefly flourished 2,000 years ago in a region north of Syria and the Euphrates River after the breakup of Alexander the Great’s empire. It was a place where Greek, Persian, Assyrian and Armenian traditions collided. Hoping to hold sway over the region even after death, Antiochus had his tomb constructed on Nemrut, flanked by stone figures representing the unique collage of mythologies that swirled around his kingdom. Antiochus himself was seated among them, rubbing shoulders with immortality. Time and nature had other ideas. Today, the statues lie decapitated and cracked, yet they still keep watch over the mountaintop, known locally as the “Throne of the Gods.” The view alone is worth the climb with dramatic vistas over southeastern Turkey, not to mention beautiful sunrises and sunsets. But the steady stream of visitors who make their way up here — either on foot or by the road which wends its way up most of the mountain — are here for the archaeological wonders. The isolation of the mountaintop offers space to imagine Commagene’s rich past and the complex battles and treaties that defined a kingdom’s quest for new territories. Getting to the top of Nemrut is relatively straightforward. Visitors can hike, but there’s also a road leading most of the way, accessible by car or with a guided tour. The 50-minute drive from the Kahta district of Adıyaman to the entrance of Mount Nemrut National Park is part of the experience. Along the way, goats and cows grazing by the roadside create pastoral scenes that have likely changed little over the centuries. Further uphill, Septimius Severus Bridge — a Roman engineering marvel — still spans the Cendere River, while the Karakuş Tumulus commemorates female members of the Commagene royal family, offering a rare glimpse into the kingdom’s daily and ceremonial life. The route also passes the Arsemia ruins, the former royal sanctuary. Carved into the cliffs is one of the longest ancient Greek inscriptions found in this region. It stands above a well-preserved relief depicting a “handshake of the gods” — King Mithridates I shaking hands with the hero Heracles. Just before the final ascent, it’s worth pausing to take it all in. At golden hour here, the sun casts dramatic light over the ancient kingdom. In the foothills of Nemrut, the farming village of Kahta offers another glimpse into the past — this one still alive. Here, two-story structures built from stone have been unchanged for generations. The lower floor provides storage and shelter for sheep and goats, the upper level a family home. Osman Aksoy, offering visitors tea at his farm, describes the community as “a surviving asset of the region’s history.” 🎥© antiqua_archeologia (IG) © CNN #archaeohistories

Major Frank Prentice was 18 years old when he dropped over a hundred feet off the stern of the Titanic into a sea full of ice. He survived. This is what he saw. Prentice worked in the Purser's office. He was in his cabin at midships when the collision happened. He describes no chaos, no impact, nothing dramatic: "It was just like jamming your brakes on my car. There was no great impact you couldn't feel. Just a bit of a shudder and she stopped." That quiet did not last. As the ship began to sink, Prentice moved through it. He helped stewardesses into lifeboats who did not know where to go. He helped a woman named Mrs. Clark with her lifejacket. She did not want to leave her husband. He told her the husband would follow on later. He would not. On his way back from the lifeboats, Prentice heard the band. They were playing "Nearer My God to Thee" and singing. He kept walking. When the end came, he made his way to the stern. He describes it as quiet up there. By the time he let go, the ship was nearly vertical. He had been hanging onto a board that read "Keep Clear of Propeller Blades." At the very last moment, he let go and fell. "I just missed the propellers on the way down." The drop was over a hundred feet. The water was packed with ice and chunks of berg. His watch stopped at 2:20 am. He was not alone in the water at first. Then he was. "I gave it a long thought when I was on my own and everybody else seemed to be dead round me." He had two life jackets and a cushion. He paddled toward a light he could still see from the rockets the bridge had fired. He reached a lifeboat and climbed in. Mrs. Clark was already there. She wrapped a blanket around him and tried to keep him warm. Her husband had drowned. When asked who was responsible for the disaster, Prentice did not hesitate. He blamed the bridge. He blamed Bruce Ismay, chairman of the shipping line, for pushing Captain Smith to maintain speed through waters they had been warned were full of ice. "We had warnings that there was ice. We had it from ships and shore, and we went straight ahead as if there was nothing there in our way." His verdict was simple: That ship was thrown away. Prentice was interviewed decades later. Asked if the memory still haunted him, he said: "When I'm alone tonight, I still think a lot about it. Can't help it, can you?" — Source: BBC Archive – The Great Liners (1979)

🚨MUST WATCH: Detailed Visual Timeline Of Charlie Kirk Assassin's ROUTE How Did He Walk In, Shoot, Jump From The Roof & Vanished Unseen!💨 Former UVU student just dropped the most detailed visual map/timeline yet of the Charlie Kirk assassin's movements on the day Charlie was assassinated. Frame by frame, street by street, this breakdown tracks the suspect from parking his car north of campus... through pedestrian tunnels... across grassy lots... up an shockingly accessible rooftop... to the fatal shot at 12:23 PM... then the frantic escape: jumping from the roof, ditching the limp (rifle gone?), vanishing into wooded areas, and disappearing. Key revelations: 🔷Roof access is embarrassingly easy—step over a railing, no security. 🔷Three possible wooded drop spots for the rifle (wrapped in towel?). 🔷Doorbell cams, TMZ footage, FBI stills all mapped precisely. 🔷Suspect returns full circle to his car—no immediate arrest despite campus lockdown. How did a lone 22-year-old with a visible limp (rifle in pants?) navigate a busy university unseen, fire from 200 yards, escape on foot, and vanish? This timeline raises massive questions about security failures, surveillance gaps, and whether the "lone wolf" story holds water. Watch this before it's taken down—the visuals make the official narrative look impossible. We owe Charlie real answers, not rushed conclusions. Drop a 🗺️ if this timeline changed anything for you. Video courtesy of: Chuck Keeler on YT -Go Subscribe and watch his full video where he also has a never before seen witness interview from that tragic day. I'll drop the link to the FULL video in the comments. Share far and wide—truth demands daylight. Don't believe the Fed-Slop 🔥🇺🇸

//The Wire//2300Z April 2, 2026// //ROUTINE// //BLUF: COLONIAL PIPELINE SHUT DOWN BRIEFLY OVERNIGHT AFTER SUSTAINING DAMAGE IN GEORGIA. STRATEGIC BUILDUP CONTINUES IN MIDDLE EAST AS UNITED STATES BEGINS TARGETING CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE WITHIN IRAN.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- Middle East: American targeting within Iran continues as Iranian forces continue to hit U.S. bases throughout the region. American bases in Kuwait have been hammered over the past few days, with ballistic missile strikes being reported at Camp Arifjan and Ali Al Salem Airbase. Within Iran, this morning the United States began more deliberate attacks on infrastructure which are not solely military targets. The B1 bridge west of Tehran was destroyed, which was not yet opened (it was still under construction) but would have been the largest bridge in the country and the main link between Tehran and Karaj. Analyst Comment: The Iranians are very likely to retaliate by hitting one (or several) critical bridges throughout the region, on the south side of the Persian Gulf. The King Fahd Bridge linking Bahrain with the mainland was already struck by the Iranians on the opening days of the war (when Saudi forces crossed the bridge to put down the Shia uprising/protests in Manama) so if they wanted to hit it again they've already demonstrated that they have the ability to do so. Iraq: This morning the US State Department issued another travel alert, specifically warning that attacks may escalate over the next 24-48 hours. Analyst Comment: This is probably in response to the kidnapping of American journalist Shelly Kittleson by Kataib Hezbollah two days ago (who still remains missing in Baghdad) but also the deteriorating security situation nationwide, which is being compounded by various Iraqi militia groups beginning to mobilize against American forces in the region. More strategically, the situation is Iraq has deteriorated to it's lowest point in years, and there is now a very real risk of some kind of insurgent uprising coming about, due to the opposing militant groups which have been stirred up by the situation in Iran. This will be an important situation to monitor over the next few weeks. India: Following weeks of petroleum disruptions nationwide, the first oil tanker arrived in Vadinar overnight, completing India's resumption of purchasing crude oil from Iran, which was originally halted in 2019. Analyst Comment: India had previously halted the purchase of Iranian oil due to American sanctions, but due to the war in the Middle East resulting in the US waiving oil export sanctions, India has resumed the purchase of oil from Iran. Indian media reports that the transaction was carried out in Chinese Yuan. -HomeFront- Georgia: Yesterday evening Colonial Pipeline's Line 1 was shut down after sustaining damage during drilling operations. The pipeline was shut down for several hours while repairs were conducted, and as of this morning Line 1 is fully functional. Analyst Comment: While this incident was not the result of malign action and it was resolved quickly, this was still a big deal. This is the largest gasoline pipeline network in the United States, and provides the vast majority of gasoline to the east coast. Considering the recent volatility in the oil markets, this outage occurring right before a major holiday weekend for travel was exceptionally poor timing. Washington D.C. - Several leadership changes have taken place this afternoon. Attorney General Pam Bondi has been relieved of her duties, with her Deputy Todd Blanche taking over her roles until a replacement is found. At the Pentagon, General Randy George was requested to take an early retirement, effective immediately, stepping down from his role as Army Chief of Staff. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: President Trump's address to the nation last night concluded without any major announcement of policy changes, and the speech was neither an announcement of the end of the war nor of any substantial increase of combat operations. Timeline wise, President Trump stated that the conflict will last 2-3 more weeks, though no official exit plan was conveyed. More generally, speeches by political officials are not usually reflective of the tactical situation on the ground and as it stands right now, the raw information available to the public continues to indicate another surge of military hardware and resources into the Middle East. Yesterday CENTCOM published their list of assets deployed to support Operation Epic Fury, which included many resources which have recently arrived in theater, such as the EA-37B COMPASS CALL platform (which is used for electronic warfare). This platform arrived on station yesterday, having been observed at Mildenhall Air Base on her way to the Middle East two days ago. Aircraft movements such as this one (and others) continue to indicate that operations are ramping up...not down. National-level reconnaissance and EW assets being moved into theater at this point (conducting their first combat deployment a full month after the war began), is not an indicator of the war coming to a close. send/receive update There are over 1000 tokens configured with a sprite and set to send and over 500 set to receive on the send/receive network. 8968 editions were minted for free over the claim window and I set the final edition size to a clean 10k. The remaining mints will be used as an onboarding mechanism to introduce on chain interactive and participatory art to new people as I continue on my mission to make what we do around here interesting and compelling to new audiences. Seeing this many people interact with the work has been super meaningful, and I'm excited to keep expanding on the project over time. I particularly enjoyed having my kids log into @Artblocks with an email which generates a Privy embedded wallet and guiding them through the process of purchasing a mint off secondary and configuring it (after I funded the wallet with a bit of ETH). Once they set it up they ran to the living room where we have a receiving token set up and watched and waited until their's appeared. We sit around and watch the live view often pointing out all the fun sprites but when they saw theirs they got REALLY excited and continue to do so as they walk past it and see their contribution every day. I think there's something really interesting about all this. Seeing yourself in a networked artwork like this seems to be compelling to folks, and I am excited to watch the network of sprites grow over time. I'm especially excited about the perpetual nature of the work, and the fact that all of the information and logic is on chain in a way where it should continue to operate as long as the Ethereum blockchain continues to produce blocks. Am also shocked at how cheap the customization of it is. You're storing a lot of info on chain for less than $1. Was always worried about this being on L1 and I know we can't count on this forever but really really pleased with the low cost to participate. If you have a token and haven't set it up yet just know it's super easy and smooth thanks to the Art Blocks UI that the team built. But if you're still intimidated maybe consider commissioning your favorite pixel artist to create a sprite for you. Anyways make sure and check into a live view every now and then to see all the sprites that have been created by the community. Change up your send/receive state or swap out your sprite when you're feeling it. I hope you're enjoying the experience of on chain participatory networked art as much as I am.

Maharashtra Leads The Creative WAVE! Presided over the signing and exchange of a MoU between the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune and the Maharashtra Film, Stage and Cultural Development Corporation Limited (MFSCDC), Mumbai today. This was more than a formal agreement. It was a step taken with the belief and purpose to shape the skilled creative force that Maharashtra and the country need in today’s dynamic landscape. Creativity is no longer limited to studios or stages. It thrives in homes, on streets, and in the hands of young dreamers who turn simple tools into powerful means of expression. These voices are not only inspiring, they are driving an entire economy. In just 100 days, the Creator Economy grew from ₹92,000 crore to ₹1 lakh crore. Such momentum brings opportunity, but also a growing need for structure, training and recognition. Many talented individuals have the skill but lack formal certification. Through this collaboration, the aim is to bridge the gap and ensure access to both training and certification. FTII has long stood for artistic excellence. Maharashtra’s Film City is a cornerstone of professional cinema. When these two strong creative ecosystems come together, a new and more empowered ecosystem will begin to take shape. With every step, Maharashtra moves closer to becoming the heart of India’s creative future powered by skill, driven by ambition, and shaped by endless possibilities. THE VIKINGS 🪓🔥 Part IX 🧵 THE THOUSAND YEARS LONG NIGHT 🗡️🌒 In the fading glow of the Viking Age rose one final flame - Harald III («Harald Hardrada»), known as the last great Viking king of Norway. Descending from Harald Fairhair of the Ulvungar bloodline. Ruling from 1046 until his death in 1066, this towering warrior carried the untamed spirit of the old North. After years in exile he had served as a legendary commander of the Varangian Guard in Constantinople, amassed great wealth across distant lands, and returned to claim the throne. Yet his final journey ended on English soil at the Battle of Stamford Bridge in 1066. With his fall, the long and glorious chapter of the Viking Age drew to a close. With the old temples silenced and the sacred groves cut down, a long shadow began to fall over the Land of the North. The first hundred years after the year 1000 AD were marked by open violence. Kings and bishops worked together to crush resistance. Those who clung to the old ways faced harsh punishment, exile, or death. Sacred sites were destroyed, ancient festivals forbidden, and the spirit of the people was deliberately broken. This was no gentle conversion to Christianity. It was a calculated campaign to shatter the proud heart of the people of the North. The Church had found its Trojan horse. Once its power was established, the violence slowly changed form. It became structural. Heavy taxes, Church-controlled laws, and strict control over daily life replaced open force. The independent spirit of the Vikings, which had once carried them across oceans and into new lands, was gradually tamed. Then came the Black Death. In 1349, death arrived on English ships said to be owned and guided by those connected to the old Khazarian bloodlines. The plague struck Norway with terrible force, killing more than half the population. Farms stood empty, knowledge was lost, and the land grew weak. As Viking power waned, Khazarian influence began to grow across Europe. When the Vikings defeated and destroyed the Khazarian Empire in year 965, the Khazarians flowed westward into the lands of Germany, Poland, and Lithuania, and later also to Denmark. Over time they found their way into Norway, changing their names to sound Norwegian and Danish. The Khazarians carried a deep and enduring hatred against the Vikings. Over the long night that followed, their descendants - moving slowly and quietly through Europe - appeared ever more determined to crush what remained of Viking strength and independence. What had begun with the Church’s Trojan horse was continued by these hidden hands. The proud, ancient tribes of the Land of the North were slowly brought under foreign influence and subdued. For five hundred years the transformation continued, until Norway passed under Danish rule in 1537. The once-mighty Viking heartland became a puppet state in a union with Denmark, lasting until 1814. In 1814, following the great upheavals of the Napoleonic Wars, Denmark was compelled to surrender Norway to Sweden. What had once been an ancient and proud kingdom was passed from one foreign crown to another, as a piece of property. Yet Denmark retained Greenland - the distant and mysterious land first settled by the Vikings under Erik the Red more than eight hundred years earlier - keeping this ancient outpost that had belonged to Norway since the dawn of the Viking Age. Under foreign rulers and Khazarian elites, the independent spirit that had guarded the sacred bloodline of Jesus and Mary Magdalene for centuries was pushed ever deeper into hiding, and eventually it was forgotten by those who carried it. Yet even in the shadows, something ancient refused to die. The fire in the souls of the real Viking descendants moved deeper, waiting for the time when it would be needed again. ⚔️🩸🪓
