I always wanted to do one of these and never had a chance. I know while I was in the 82nd they had a few in the early 2000's. But hey, I jumped out of a C5 that almost killed me 🤣🤣🤣

Did the Koreans wear their football pads? We had an opportunity to do this jump back in the day, but SOCPAC said no…

Did that in the paras…first 2 from the balloon….erie having no slipstream or plane engine noise…just the straight drop till the canopy opens

Seems like decent and kinda cool training. I imagine in Korea you might have some significant space constraints in certain areas. So make do with what you got.

I jumped from every certified airframe for airborne jumps during my time. Yet I didn't realize any nation used blimps for jumps. 🫡 Wonder if they allow civilians to jump from these. Would make a sick 111th jump.

I'm sorry, but does this really qualify as an "Airborne jump" without the other 1200 assholes competing for airspace? Looks like a Navy jump to me.

The idea is to get guys more time under canopy and what not. Shouldn’t be considered high performance, but good training regardless
