@tyschmit This is just some holy glaze, comparison towards drafting and signing a head coach is invalid due to the cost of early selections in the draft while it costs nothing to hire a coach early on. This makes no sense my man.

@tyschmit It's Amazing we used the same process for Todd Monken and it worked out. When Zach Orr was given the DC job he was just appointed and nobody blinked an eye. I was pissed they rushed to hire a two year coach in a Superbowl window. Glad to see this from EDC.

@tyschmit I don’t agree with this take. In the draft, you are assigned a drafting position based of previous year results. The only way to move up and pick sooner is to give something up (draft capital, currents players, etc.). There is no cost here, this is first come first served.

@tyschmit There’s a psychological logic to this because EDC is the main guy in charge of the early interviews and he’s never done this before (Ozzie was the GM when Harbaugh was hired). EDC has a huge scouting and draft background. It could be subconscious. Bisciotti will help w/finalists

@tyschmit This doesn’t make sense. Every team has to wait until it is their turn to draft (sans trade which is just changing spots in line with someone else). In picking a head coach there is no queue. They don’t need to wait until other hires are made to pick “their guy” from leftovers
