Baluran National Park in East Java, home to endangered Javanese banteng and leopards, is on fire. Firefighters were nowhere to be seen. And I thought everyone has been briefed in anticipation of #ElNiño

Apparently the ministry doesn’t want this news to spread. Mind boggling.

Thank you for your attention. We have done the fire control. Baluran National Park dispatched seven officers to extinguish the forest fire. in conclusion, the fire was successfully controlled at 14.30 PM

Well done, always admire the dedication of the field team. Hopefully not much will be lost during the current ElNino now that the wet La Nina years are over.

Last week I passed Baluran Teak Forest. One of my favorite paths in Java.

Fire is the force that maintain the existence of savanna. Without fire trees will take over and grass gone. No food for bantengs, water buffalos, and timor deers.

Agree with @miq2501 . Grassland fires in East Java NTT NTB and south Merauke that are monsoon and savanna climates regions are a regular natural occurrence and not an issue. It is fires in tropical rainforest climate zones like most of Kalimantan and Sumatra we should watch.

@miq2501 We all know that El Nino increases the intensity of savanna and forest fires which can increase the area affected by severe fires. We can't simply ignore it as a 'non issue'.

hello @tn_baluran gak malunta sampe diekspos orang luar loh
