This provides structure, military discipline and formation and keeps their youth from being brainwashed by the Internet and State. Their population is Just 850,000 so that is one band per 450 people under 35 or one band per every 220 young men. So as you see this is THE largest youth culture activity there is. Hence they remain free and defiant.✝️

The Boston conference panel featuring four skeptics of pediatric gender medicine went off this morning with minimal disruptions. I obtained video and audio of the surrounding protests, one of the disruptions from a WPATH leader, and the moderator, Dr. Rauch, introducing the panel. I've dropped all of that into an update to this Substack I published on Friday if you want to take a look: Otherwise, the videos are below. In May 2016, 15-year-old Karinya “Yaya” Chen was in hospice care in Austin, Texas after years of fighting cancer. She had tickets to see Florence The Machine, but by the night of the concert, she was simply too sick to go. So the people at Hospice Austin reached out to the band. And Florence Welch came to her. Florence and guitarist Rob Ackroyd walked into Karinya’s room and gave her the concert she couldn't make it to. They sang “Shake It Out” and “Dog Days Are Over,” with Karinya singing and harmonizing right alongside them. A few months later, Karinya lost her battle with cancer at just 15 years old. But for one afternoon, none of that seemed to matter. There was just a young girl, one of her favorite singers, a guitar, a room full of people who loved her... and music. Sometimes the smallest act of kindness can become one of the biggest moments of someone's life. This is what being human is supposed to look like.🙏

About 300,000 people came out in Atlanta for the film's premiere at the Loew's Grand Theatre on December 15, 1939. It was the climax of three days of festivities hosted by Mayor William B. Hartsfield, which included a parade of limousines featuring stars from the film, receptions, thousands of Confederate flags, and a costume ball. Eurith D. Rivers, the governor of Georgia, declared December 15 a state holiday. An estimated 300,000 Atlanta residents and visitors lined the streets for seven miles to view the procession of limousines that brought stars from the airport. Only Leslie Howard and Victor Fleming chose not to attend: Howard had returned to England due to the outbreak of World War II, and Fleming had fallen out with Selznick and declined to attend any of the premieres. Hattie McDaniel was also absent, as she and the other Black cast members were prevented from attending the premiere due to Georgia's Jim Crow laws, which kept them from sitting with their white colleagues.
