$SOFI CEO says the company posted a “very strong quarter” with 41% revenue growth (accelerating from Q4) driven by $690M in lending net interest income. The stock is down because SoFi beat Q1 but didn't raise the full-year guide with Noto saying the original outlook assumed two rate cuts and now “we don’t expect any rate cuts this year” while still maintaining the same guidance.

Yesterday, the CEO of $SOFI bought another $250K worth of shares at $15.73. This comes after: • $500K bought at $17.32 on March 17 • $1M bought at $17.88 on March 2 He sees $SOFI trading in the $30s today and above $40 within a year. His logic: ~40% earnings growth over the next 3 years while fintech peers trade around a 1.1x PEG ratio, implying roughly 44x earnings. Apply that multiple to $SOFI and the stock looks massively undervalued at current prices. The intrinsic value of $SOFI is at least 2x higher than where it trades today. $SOFI and $HOOD remain two of the most attractive opportunities in the market.

This was one the most eye-opening podcasts regarding the $TSLA & SpaceX merger that I have ever done. Many Tesla shareholders will say it wouldn't be fair if Tesla stock is not at least $700 prior to a merge with SpaceX but nextbigfuture breaks it down for us why it's necessary for Elon to merge Tesla & SpaceX ASAP for it to benefit Tesla investors massively. His example was how xAI investors agreed to merge with SpaceX, even though more than 60% of the combined company’s revenue is currently coming from AI compute rentals, which generate roughly 100% direct net profit margins. At the same time, xAI investors would only own 20% of the merged entity. It may have looked unfair on the surface, but as Brian explained in the podcast, a closer look shows that the structure was actually very good for xAI and its investors. Apparently there’s stacked Bey vocals throughout Hov’s verse. 🤯 “It(verse) did not have to be this good, but he clearly cared about delivering an amazing feature”.

Drew Houston: “No one is born a CEO” Dropbox founder Drew Houston reflects on feeling insecure in the CEO role when he first started the company: “What I didn’t know was if I should be CEO. The more I learned about business, the more I realized I didn’t know. I was concerned — maybe I should find a more business-minded co-founder and be the CTO.” Drew recalls asking the CEO of another startup for advice at the time: “He told me to give it a shot — it doesn’t have to be permanent. If you like it, keep going. If you don’t, you don’t have to be CEO. He was very practical, but I think it’s totally rational to have imposter syndrome — especially if you’re in your early 20s — and recognizing that there’s a whole world of stuff you need to know beyond the technology and product. I wasn’t fully aware then that all of that is learnable.” He continues: “No one is born a CEO. Everyone is a first-time CEO at some point. Most of tech company founders that are in the Hall of Fame and that we all look at started as technologists and learned the business side on the job. There’s very few examples of going the other way.
