🚨 Bangladesh 🇧🇩 has also quietly recognized Somaliland: After Israel’s historic recognition and the UAE accepting Somaliland passports on its official visa/residency platform (while blocking Somalia ones), Bangladesh has now listed Somaliland separately on its government platforms—effectively recognizing Somaliland passports for travel/work! Momentum is unstoppable. Many more countries to...

This is a gross violation of partial lifting of arms embargo on Somalia 🇸🇴. #Somaliland on its part must arm itself to thawrth Somalia's 🇸🇴 impending invasion of The Republic of Somaliland, purportedly, planned, financed and fully supported by Egypt 🇪🇬 and Turkey 🇹🇷; with thier second shipment of military shipments this week to Somalia. Furthermore, Somaliland government must request from Taiwan 🇹🇼 and Ethiopia 🇪🇹 to rush arms to Somaliland. Two foreign policy objectives that I don't under why Somaliland did peruse is mind-boggling to many Somalilanders. Firstly, why do we have to keep Turkish 🇹🇷 Consulate open in Hargeisa, Somaliland, secondly, what prevents Taiwan 🇹🇼 from supplying arms to Somaliland. Well, we have to keep in mind that Somalia 🇸🇴 with this new military equipment from Egypt 🇪🇬 and Turkey 🇹🇷, enables invade Somaliland. Taiwanese reluctance to supply defense arms to Somaliland to protect its independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity would cause Somaliland and Taiwanese relationship the thing of the past. Furthermore, Ethiopia’s 🇪🇹 national security interest are closely linked with #Somaliland's independence sovereignty and territorial integrity as such, would not allow #Somaliland become a war zone vis à vis Egypt and Turkey arming our archenemy. In conclusion, what current Somaliland’s government must do is to initiate a bold diplomat move to seek military assistance from her friends including UAE 🇦🇪, Ethiopia 🇪🇹, and Taiwan 🇹🇼.

To the self proclaimed gate keepers of Islam, does the condemnation not extent to the Arab world or is it just reserved for Africans? For decades Somaliland has tried to secure re-recognition and every country INCLUDING Palestine who seeks the same recognition have turned their backs on Somaliland. Where was the “We’re Muslim brothers” argument then? Was Somaliland suppose to continue allowing their people to die in poverty? The reality is people are dying from TB in 2025 in Somaliland. Even with that reality Somaliland has continued to donate millions to Palestine and Palestine continues to mock Somaliland and laugh at the struggles of her people. Somaliland has donated livestock to the Khaliji countries before their oil was struck which was literally keeping them alive while the rest of the world turned their backs to them and today many of their wealthy influencers and politicians are referring to Somalilanders as “hungry stupid people”. This narrative that is being pushed regarding Palestinians being relocated to Somaliland is as it stands false. They also were suggesting relocating Palestinians to multiple other countries including Egypt and Somalia. Why has the focus only been on Somaliland for months? Palestinians belong and deserve to remain in Palestine I do not wish for Palestinians to be relocated to any country - if that obvious opinion was not clear before. For now, the re-recognition is JUST RE-RECOGNITION. I pray it acts as a critical door that could unlock investment, security, and a path towards our ultimate goal. To our diaspora: From a place of privilege living abroad, it is easy to judge. Learn the context and history to make a well-informed opinion. To our locals: Be careful of the message you portray to the outside world. Be careful of ignorance. Optics are powerful and the whole world is watching us now. In Unity, We are poweful. #Somaliland #recognition

I’m honestly shocked by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s words. He claimed Somaliland wants recognition just because Britain once colonized it. That is false completely false. Mr. President, let me teach you something real. Somaliland’s demand for independence isn’t about colonial history, it’s about justice, democracy, and dignity. The so-called 1960 Act of Union between Somaliland and Somalia was never properly ratified. Its validity has always been questionable, and Somaliland has every right to reclaim what was freely given and freely can be taken back. For more than 30 years, Somaliland has built something Somalia still struggles to achieve: a stable, democratic, and peaceful nation. Somaliland held five presidential elections, local council elections, and a constitutional referendum. Somaliland people elect their leaders through the will of the people not through clan deals or chaos. Somaliland has defended its land from terrorists, protected its shores from pirates, and stood tall on its own two feet while the world looked away. Somaliland people just want to breathe the air of freedom they’ve already earned. So, Mr. President of Somalia, how dare you belittle that? Do you even understand what “union” means? Or do you think pretending to be a modern-day Abraham Lincoln will make the world believe your story? Tell us one thing you’ve done that has truly changed your people’s lives for the better. Just one. You can’t , because there isn’t one. That’s exactly why Somaliland and its people will never give up their rightful path to reclaim their independence.
