Prof Karanja Njoroge, Board Member, Friends of Karura Forest: We have been involved since 2009 as a community forest association and we have worked very well with the Kenya Forest Service. I do not see why they could not consult us on a critical issue like this one, which takes away our finances into eCitizen. It cannot be a command and control. Saving Karura Forest took a lot of money. We did not ask for it from the government; we raised the funds to save Karura. Karura was gone, it was people’s plots #CitizenSundayLive

Calling on all Friends of Karura Forest to stand with FKF ( friends of Karura ) that has been doing a splendid job in managing and maintaining Karura Forest for the past 15 years . Keeping it safe for everyone who seeks some fresh air and safe green environment as a form of occasional escape from the buzzing concrete city life . FKF is currently being kicked out by this very greedy regime that is currently demanding that all payments must be done to ecitizen . We all know where that money will go should FKF be kicked out . FKF should let us know when they want all the friends of Karura to show up in solidarity We are very ready 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️
