What happens when art becomes a conversation with your own consciousness? As part of Brand in the Open, we invited 10 artists to explore what it means to build a brand for the decentralized internet. One of them was LGHT, a visual storyteller who hides layered ideas in “simple beauty.” “My art is an extension of my curiosity and desire to articulate,” he said. “I like to hide these convos in simple beauty, always wondering if anyone on my wavelength can read the color-pages.” For LGHT, creating onchain is a core part of his work. “It’s the basis of my new career. I don’t come from polished resume world. I’m a drop out, reformed delinquent... Onchain changed all that. It’s given me and my family security. And it let me do it on the merit of my own mind and character.” What does he want to see more of from creatives? “Courage. You can’t wait for the okay or the sign off or the recognition. You’ve got to be courageous, over and over and over and over again.”

We got a call to pick up this precious baby from a location in Oyo State, the client clearly stated the car was in a pretty bad condition and that he wanted to refurbish the car for his Dad. Arrangements were made for pick up and shortly after the driver passed Ibadan, the engine was overheating, and there were oil droplets on the road from the engine, he waited for a while and allowed the engine to cool off and topped up the water in the radiator, he had not driven for 10 minutes before the engine overheated again, I contacted our client and I told him the best option was to tow the car because there was no way that car would get to Inside Òṣogbo , he said we should go ahead and he was going to cover the cost. The car arrived our workshop Doromecho Automobile Solutions Ltd. Inside Òṣogbo safely. We informed our client and gave him the update, it was indeed going to be a total and complete Overhaul and refurbishment but of course, we were up to it.

There is a bit of beauty to the whole Tate defeat. Hear me out. If you look at Demoor’s first professional fight below, let’s face it, it’s beyond comical. It was so bad that Demoor’s own corner threw in the towel after the 2nd round. THIS is the EXACT fight Demoor was alluding to when he said he contemplated taking his own life. He was ridiculed across social media. Laughed at and rejected my the male community. Fast forward and Demoor started listening to Andrew Tate. Demoor decided to LIVE. He started training harder. Applying himself. Refocusing. Taking everything much more seriously. After defeating Tate, he tearfully revealed that Andrew’s own words are what pulled him out of this dark place. Andrew saved his life. Demoor stepped into the ring with the man that breathed life back into his soul and won. ‘A real master trains his replacement.’ This is such a W for men across the board and it’s shocking that many men can’t see this. Both men won, and dare I say, Andrew walked away with the biggest W of them all. A TRUE Cinderella story. He who has ears.

Six years ago, we lost my dear friend and colleague, Congressman John Lewis. I had the privilege of serving alongside John in Congress and witnessed firsthand the humility, courage, and moral clarity that defined his life. He never stopped believing that ordinary people could build a more just America. Los Angeles was honored to welcome him many times, and his message of justice and love continues to inspire our city. In South L.A., he reminded us that the fight for justice begins in our own communities. Six years after his passing, his example continues to guide us as we work to build a city and a country where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
