Baseball has a perception problem, not a reality problem “The Dodgers last year became the sixth team that finished with the regular season’s best record to also go on and win the World Series” in the past 25 seasons

@TalkinBaseball_ @ChrisRose @trevorplouffe This year is unlike any prior year though

Our project at Arena Pantanal for the 2014 FIFA World Cup! Despite shade challenges, we delivered a lush field with Tifgrand grass from the USA and the FIBRESOFT system. Memorable matches ensued! 🏆⚽

@ChrisRose @trevorplouffe What has changed though @ChrisRoseSports? The delta between big market teams and mid/small market teams has increased dramatically.

@TalkinBaseball_ @ChrisRose @trevorplouffe Slice it however you want, it’s bad for baseball

@TalkinBaseball_ @ChrisRose @trevorplouffe But no other team in that time span had 4 Cy young’s starting pitchers, multiple future HOFers in the lineup and a loaded bullpen.

@ChrisRose @trevorplouffe Right because basketball ratings have been booming lately

@ChrisRose @trevorplouffe I love baseball, but they need to bring back bloopers and practical jokes. TWIB

@ChrisRose @trevorplouffe How many of those teams had $400,000,000 payrolls with 1,300,000,000 in deferred salaries? Let me know how often that happened?

@ChrisRose @trevorplouffe Yeah nobody wants to watch a product where they know the ending and it’s going to be the same as last year. The nfl is starting to get to that same point as well.

@ChrisRose @trevorplouffe Except this year the Dodgers have 1.3B in deferred payments and a roster that would beat a lot of All Star rosters. Do you realize that the payroll for this year, just for players, is more than the Royals made in 2024? How can teams eve compete with that?
