Baseball is Catholic🇻🇦⚾️

Yep

We’ve had Popes celebrate Mass at ballparks like Yankee Stadium, but it’s honestly incredible that we now have a Pope that has actually been to a World Series game and he’s actually a fan.

Baseball might in fact be Catholic now that I’ve given it some thought. It is filled with tradition, ritual, and ceremony. The umpires are like priests who cannot play the game and make blindly obvious decisions based, not on the rules, but their interpretation of the rules. The baseball hierarchy is always dabbling with the game kinda like Vatican II, with the pitch clock and extra inning rules. The commissioner is like the pope and can banish people from heaven (the hall of fame) and keep them in purgatory until they have been purified by time. Shoeless Joe Jackson, Pete Rose, Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds, etc. The stadiums are like cathedrals where fans pay their tithes to watch but can never approach the players or touch the field. Players are simultaneously saints and priests. They can only make the team if they go through an approved course of study, the minor leagues or foreign experienced players, which is like the catechism and seminary. Every fan has their favorite saints, former players, and “venerate” them in sports bars everywhere. Baseball also has purists who hate all the changes, they want the designated hitter removed and return baseball to its original form, kinda like a Latin Mass. So, yeah, baseball is definitely Catholic.

Converting the world through sports is tried and true tradition.

True and accurate

Well, the Pope is a White Sox fan.

Who is this?

That's probably why it is so dishonest it makes sense
