New York City just became the first city in the country to completely overhaul the way it targets and addresses crimes of domestic violence. "It will have approximately 450 police investigators spread out in every patrol precinct in New York City," Mayor Eric Adams said Thursday. Domestic violence is one of the only violent crime categories on the rise in recent years, accounting for 40% of all felony assaults in New York City.
