BASH: What's your reaction to someone losing their life while running from ICE? HOMAN: It's sad. It's unfortunate. He wasn't in ICE custody. ICE did not have hands on this person, but it's always unfortunate when there is death. They were doing their job.

He's not wrong. Plus, I thought Democrats are the party of law and order?

A man is dead — and the response is “unfortunate”? This is what happens when cruelty becomes standard policy. Where does this end?

At the end of the day, would this man be alive had ICE not done the very thing Trump said wouldn’t happen? Trump said farms and hospitality workers wouldn’t be targeted. But then again, Trump isn’t in charge, is he?

They were in pursuit. If ICE wasn’t chasing him he would be alive. Being in “custody” doesn’t determine responsibility. Gross.

“not in our custody” is the new “wasn’t our bullet”

They were doing their job, he says, like that's supposed to make it all better. Wtf

Every life lost is a reminder that our system needs compassion, clarity and better outcomes.

12 people have already died in custody. He can’t pretend he doesn’t know that.

They talk like it is no big deal but people are dying out here. The whole system is messed up and nobody wants to fix it.

Literally just watched this...the complete lack of empathy or even touch of a hint of sadness in his voice as he spoke about this. Saying "unfortunate that someone died"...I know my family thinks I am a softie...but come on...how can it be this hard to show some compassion?
