Utterly ridiculous decision. What on earth was TH meant to do with a split second to move?

🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️ clearly accidental and a "rugby incident". Appalling decision and no appreciation from the officials re the speed of play and change of direction.

As I've said elsewhere, I'm all for player safety. But there has to be an element of common sense as @davidflatman has said. It's an accident and no penalty for me. It's a contact sport and accidents will happen.

Embarrassing officiating. That’s the epitome of an accidental clash of heads. Pathetic officiating, that’s never foul play let alone a card.

Terrible decision. Townsend hit Hill not the other way round.

For me: Is there head contact? Yes. Is there foul play? No. Play on. (noting that this is subjective)

Like everyone; player safety is key but the game is being officiated in a ‘paint by numbers’ way. This sort of decision is turning the game into an utter lottery; it is so clearly a ‘rugby incident’ but ref to scared to call anything else.
