I am today old, when l learnt that there are people out there who are washing meat with soap. I mean wow..

Our grandparents were never wrong. They’ll insisted that we boils that thing to a point that we even had to throw away the first boiled water if the chicken was suspected to be sickly

Simply not true, soap is an antimicrobial. And acetic acid (vinegar) and citric acid (lemon juice) are actually antimicrobials. Wouldn’t advice using soap to wash chicken but lemon juice and vinegar are fine
