Bauhaus - Ziggy Stardust

44 years ago today, Bauhaus released their cover of David Bowie’s “Ziggy Stardust.” Here they are performing it on The Old Grey Whistle Test in 1982

Saw Bauhaus play at the Warfield in San Francisco about 20 yrs ago, was great to get to catch them live 🦇

Brilliant cover. 👨‍🎤

I saw this when it was originally shown (yes! I'm that old), at the end the guitarist is very angry as his lead, Amp or guitar were malfunctioning and he loses it right at the end

!

That was the 1st song I'd ever heard from Bauhaus. Even though I knew it was a David Bowie cover, I loved it and left my mind blown. I didn't know a Goth Band could rock so hard.

Classic

that was my jam

What a band!

For a split second I thought that was the ending musical number from the original "Hedwig and The Angry Inch" film.

One of the best covers of the rock!

ピーター・マーフィー！

Dear Bands if you do a Cover be like Bauhaus do it your way but honor the song. Man that was a long time ago. Imagine liking stuff like this and get dumped in the middle of the sticks in some farm town as a teen. Actually I did get as much shit as you would think. Because I was a friendly out cast,,,,, that sold weed once in awhile. How to make friends in the wise places by Aaron Bean.

Perfect way to kick off this month.

2nd favourite after She's in parties

Increíble

このアルバム持ってました。 ボウイをちょっとハードにしたジギー・スターダストカッコいいですよね。 ピーター・マーフィーの声もカッコいい

Great Band

I love singers who vibe with that whole Bowie vocal swagger. Since we're talking about Goth Videos and we're in SPOOKTOBER check out the music video "Bowie In Daydreams" by Astari Nite.

Íbamos a ver ese hoy?

I heard this cover before I heard the original.

Fantastic band. Loved them 🎶🎶

Don't know who they are, but they absolutely murdered, that Classic...

Before his telecaster conked out and he flounced
