BBC Scotland is pushing two narratives simultaneously. It's both promoting Labour's claim that the Scottish Govt is spending money it doesn't have and also pushing demands from anyone for the Scottish Govt to spend more. 'You're spending too much ... You're not spending enough'

BBC reporter Phil Sim has told Radio Scotland listeners that the Scottish Govt believes a man could get pregnant. This is the kind of ridiculous tabloid garbage we've come to expect from BBC Scotland in its pursuit of the SNP. How utterly embarrassing for him.

Reporting Scotland gave 18 seconds to the news that Scotland has the lowest rate of train cancellations in the UK. The item didn't reveal Scotrail is owned by the Scottish Govt. The BBC always highlights Scotrail is nationalised if it's a *bad* news story. See videos below.

One thing that is often lost in the discussion around the Budget is where the money, for Labour's billions of pounds of spending increases, comes from. I made the point in the House recently: there's no such thing as Government money. It is taxpayer money.

Radio Scotland Breakfast today reported claims of a "crisis" in Scottish high courts. Who made this claim? The presenters didn't say. We checked. As far as we can tell nobody has used the word 'crisis'. It appears to have come from the two presenters themselves. We checked the BBC Scotland article and listened to the BBC Scotland interview with the Chief Executive of the Scottish Courts and Tribunal Service. We checked the STV online article. No sign of anyone warning about a 'crisis' or using the word at all.

ALERT! BBC Scotland is pushing nuclear power propaganda today. Paris Gourtsoyannis is claiming the SNP Govt is "under pressure to drop its opposition to new nuclear" power plants. The basis for this 'pressure' is a petition by a trade union group. Like we say, propaganda.

The best part about body paint is that I can transform into almost anything or anyone The worst part is that after spending all those hours painting I have to wash it off and there is nothing tangible left

What a bunch of horse💩 Mark Carney: "We are not spending that amount of money, we are investing that amount of money." No Mark, you are borrowing money, that will cost Canadian taxpayers interest and will need to be paid back, on programs that you hope will generate ROI. In finance, it's called a leverage. He is trying to call this a leverage except that the government won't own any assets with this but hopes to generate additional economic spending that will cover the cost of this spending and the borrowing that will need to be paid back.

Sen. Coons: The clearest winner from this war in Iran is Russia. It's stunning that Trump is on the phone with Vladimir Putin and spending more time consulting with him than he is with Congress and the American people.

🚨🗣️ Gary Neville has criticised Liverpool’s £120m signing of Bradley Barcola, claiming the club is now spending far too much and “getting away with it.” “Liverpool have spent an unbelievable amount of money recently, and nobody seems to be talking about it. They keep spending huge fees and somehow keep getting away with it. They broke the British transfer record to sign Florian Wirtz, then spent another British-record fee on Alexander Isak, and both have flopped so far. Now they’ve spent £120m on Bradley Barcola. It’s a ridiculous amount of money. Barcola is a good player, but £120m? Come on. What has he done to justify that fee? Liverpool used to be one of the smartest clubs in the transfer market. They identified the right players, signed them for sensible fees and developed them. Now they’re starting to become like Chelsea and Manchester City. They’re spending massive amounts on players who, in my opinion, are average for the prices being paid, and just hoping it works out. Wirtz hasn’t worked, Isak hasn’t worked, and instead of learning from those mistakes they’ve gone straight back into the market and spent another ridiculous amount on Barcola. You have to question the direction the club is going. Liverpool cannot keep spending £100m-plus on players and act as though it’s normal. At some point the pressure of those transfer fees catches up with you. Barcola could turn out to be a good signing, but for £120m you’re expecting an elite, proven world-class player — not someone you’re hoping will eventually become one. Liverpool are spending too much money now, and the worrying thing is they’re starting to look more and more like Chelsea and Manchester City: throwing huge sums at players and hoping the next one works.”

Spending the weekend supporting mum and her new puppies. I think she is absolutely delighted to now have support and not to have to do it all alone. I called her Katie Taylor for the weekend that’s in it… (1/4) 🧵
