August 7, 2026 - 17:30 to August 8, 2026 - 5:30 am Courtesy of: (UPDATE: Aug. 8 @ 8:15 am) - The BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) has provided an updated size estimate for the Bald Range wildfire Saturday morning. It's now an estimated 9,500 hectares as it continued to grow overnight, even in calmer conditions. Nowlin Kazimir, who was in town helping evacuate animals, reported around 2:30 am that the fire had moved into the community of Summerland. My neighbor (across the street) sent me this video clip from Monday morning, “around 3am,” he says… from one of his his front yard ring cameras. I was 40-50 yards away from this area at some point around 3:30-4:00 with one of our dogs for their morning constitutionals. I’ve had my head on a swivel ever since. (wait till the end…)

Went back through my files to see if there was any Kyle Busch content that I missed. Turns out there was! Here's a quick video of a media scrum I was in when Kyle blew an engine at Bristol in 2022, which knocked him out of that year's playoffs. One thing that's bothered me as I've gone back through my records is that I don't have as much video content from the JGR/M&M's era (especially in my current style) as I would like. Even when I started to really become a part of the NASCAR media corps, I was way more focused on the .com side, managing live blogs and written material so there wasn't a great volume of video/photo content nor was it to the standards I've developed. Still, what I have - even stuff from back when I was just a fan - I'll cherish. Just wish that I had a little more from the glory days, and even from the end of that era in '22.
