On March 7, 2020 in Centralia, IL, Aron Flanagan and his daughter stopped to help an intoxicated man near railroad tracks who claimed he'd been hit by a car. They called 911 and waited. Officer Billy White (badge 429) arrived, asked them to move the vehicle, then demanded ID/name. Flanagan (no suspected crime) refused. White escalated, cursed, and arrested him for obstruction. Flanagan was released same day with no charges. White got a 5-day unpaid suspension, lost FTO status, and ordered sensitivity/anger training after the complaint and bodycam review. Flanagan sued for false arrest; the case settled.

Fun fact. If you are not a suspect of a crime, you do NOT have to give your information. They can ask, you can decline. I support law enforcement but this was malicious, plain and simple.

Witnessed a bad roll over accident on a day I picked up an extra work shift. Helped the guy out talked to the deputy that showed up. I ended up getting subpoenaed and had the insurance companies calling me at all the time. They actually sent a deputy to my house to make me comply
