Seriously??? How can anyone justify hitting someone on a bicycle with a car REGARDLESS of what the bicycle rider is doing? A car is a lethal weapon. You can pass the bike rider. What is wrong with you people?

I honestly don't get it. I enjoy bike riding. I briefly even had the luxury of being able to commute by bike. I have never understood the douche-baggery of cyclists. Not once has it ever occurred to me to intentionally make myself a nuisance to motorists.

I was a bike tech back in the day. The road bikers were the absolute worst to deal with. I can’t describe a more OCD and self-absorbed clientele anywhere. The mountain bikers were a fucking blast though NGL.

If I am on a bicycle I never ride in the middle of the road. I have a rear camera and radar to know what is behind me. I ride as close to the shoulder as possible. For 40 years of riding (knock on wood) I never been hit by a car.

No, that didn't feel good. That was disgusting and I hope the driver got at least six months in jail.

Our society is so emasculated now with delusional people like this woman acting like they have all the power, seeing some real consequences is almost cathartic.

I noticed a few things being a bike rider that often uses roads when dedicated paths are not available. First, although there is no dedicated bike lane that I see, you still stay as for right as safe so that cars can pass when there is opportunity. Second, when the truck did move to the right lane to pass safely, the biker also moved to the left to block it. (asshole move). Third, lack of awareness tat you are probably not the only asshole using the road, hence the driver that hit her. And finally, even if you have every legal right to be driving in the middle of the road, it is still a 150 lb bike and rider without protection against a 2500 lb vehicle. Right and injured or dead is not a win.

I’m a cyclist - and I loved it - my bike doesn’t pay for the road nor do I need a license to ride it - my car is a different matter - want to share the road - bikes need to be to the side…
