They definitely change the formula once these bigger companies buy. They have cheaper ways to make products and I would be surprised if they but ingredients that harm our hair. Mielle is another line that I loved but she sold it to P&G and itโ€™s not the same.

I've been growing my locs for over 6 years now. Most of the women who've retwist my locs have told me the same thing and switch to natural oils for a healthy scalp and hair.

Only a few of those haircare lines were black owned. The rest were founded by black people but never owned by black people.

Itโ€™s not really an exposure. Lisa Price sold her brand to Lโ€™Orรฉal years ago. Probably about a decade ago at this point. This was known. Once the newer person gets a hold of it, they change the recipe by a smidge because itโ€™s now theirs.
