May 7 Suffolk County Police arrested two parents following a fight at a flag football game in Wyandanch. A fight broke out between players from Southampton High School and Wyandanch Memorial High School following a varsity-level game between the schools and two parents became involved in the fight. Shalaya Gatlin punched a 16-year-old female in the chest and another 16-year-old female in the face, and threated a 15-year-old female. Gatlin, 37, of Shirley, was charged with three counts of Harassment 2nd Degree and three counts of Acting in a Manner to Injure a Child. Jonathan Perez engaged in a physical altercation with a 16-year-old male, threatened people with a knife, and threatened to shoot up the school. Perez, 35, of Shirley, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, Making a Threat of Mass Harm, Menacing 3rd Degree, Harassment 2nd Degree, and Acting in a Manner to Injure a Child. According to local news reports, Huseinov had been kicked out of the bar earlier in the week for inappropriate "s*xual" behavior. He later returned with a knife and threatened to attack employees, saying he would "end" them. Thanks to the men in the video, no one was injured.
