I was delighted to be able to witness this family of beavers arrive at their new home in Loch Lomond National Nature Reserve. The habitat here is exactly right for beavers and I hope that they settle well into their new home 🦫💚

A little over 20 years ago, it had almost completely dried out—but thanks to a licensed beaver trial, the area has been brought back to life! 🦫🌊 Not only is this wetland restored, but biodiversity is thriving, and it’s now a climate-resilient landscape. 🌍 This is why our government must "free the beaver" and prioritise species reintroduction.
