Because people genuinely still don't understand how long it takes to develop major features and entire new game modes: Gavin Winter (Senior Systems Designer OW) on Emongg's stream mentioned that there's been a whole separate team dedicated to making the new Stadium mode for "a lot of the time"...

Another fun one for the people who think developers just wave a magic wand and 3rd person gameplay magically appears overnight.

Experience the bot completely reimagined. 🌟 A completely new design, reminders for match prediction, notifications when games are interrupted, continued or postponed. New commands like /features and /standings and new languages and much more.

This is the reason I always thought it was funny when people would claim Paladins copied Overwatch or Overwatch copied Paladins. Now we're just going to have it with Marvel Rivals and Overwatch

Everyone copies everyone. It doesn't even bother me. But people who unironically try and use it as a vehicle to shit on OW for introducing something like 3rd person is just so ridiculous. Hardly any games actually innovate and are original now. I genuinely don't even care who copied who. Just wish the haters would actually use a good argument for once instead of one of the absolute dumbest arguments they could possibly make. Like Marvel invented 3rd person game play or something 😂

b-but... they made the third person mode as a response to rivals! cause i said so okay! they made it in the 3 months since rivals came out!

People will never give blizzard props for anything they do anymore when it comes to OW besides actual OW supporters. It's always they only did this because of MR when it's obviously not true. People are stupid for thinking that all this stuff happened in 2 months because of MR

Anyone who genuinely believes that the dev team could put any of this together in only a couple months is someone who knows NOTHING about how game development works

It’s actually so ridiculous how Rivals glazers actually think the Devs just whipped up 3rd person in 3 months when it’s been in the works for a long time. I’m an enjoyer of both games but the Rivals fan base is just terrible.

Knowing that I appreciate even more the work they put into it. Originally I was excited for PvE-Missions mostly for the talent-system and having new ways of playing the game/the heroes. Even so PvE-Modes are cancelled they stilled worked on a Talent-System for us to play with.

US-ISRAEL WAR ON IRAN: The UAE’s🇦🇪 ‘years of planning for such a scenario’ prepared it for this crisis ‘The UAE’s air defence system is not only THAAD, it’s a combination of a number of air defence systems, including one that is built here in the UAE. We have recently heard the White House spokesperson specifically say that the attack that has happened on the US Consulate was defended with missiles produced here in the UAE. So that is something that has been in the making for years, and it just happened to happen that we used them today. We hoped that we would never do that. What got me surprised, really, is how nonchalant it feels here. All of these attacks, the number of missiles and drones that have been targeted at the UAE, that is actually more than all of the missiles that went to all of the other countries Iran has targeted. Yet we can drive outside, we go to the mall, we go to restaurants, we go to the mosque for prayer. We need to credit the first responders, the way they have been conducting themselves. Fires have been extinguished at a very high speed. People’s lives are being facilitated and eased up. Tourists who’ve been stranded here in Dubai have got their bill for their hotel extensions picked up by the UAE government, and those corridors are now being opened slowly to allow those stranded to go back home. It’s an amazement of how work of years and years of planning has now come out useful whenever it was needed.’ -Mohammed Baharoon, Director General of the Dubai Public Policy Research Center joins us on Monday’s Going Underground to discuss the UAE’s navigation of the regional crisis Don’t miss it, follow us on X to watch the full interview on Monday, or follow our Rumble 🏴‍☠️ channel, link below in the replies👇

I have a friend who doesn't read anything published in the past 50 years, and the more I think about it, the more I think he's onto something. The reason is that time is the best filter we have for quality. People are bad at judging quality in the moment but very good at getting rid of junk over time. — — "History is not very good at capturing all that is great in art. It is not good at that. There are many great symphonies that have been lost permanently, there are many great painters that died unknown and their paintings are gone, there's novels that have been written that no one will ever read. So history is not good at capturing all this great art. But history is very good at discarding all that is mediocre. And the amount of time that that takes, it's something like 50 years. So over the course of 50 years, what will happen is a lot of stuff that was prominent will be re-filtered and re-filtered and re-filtered, and you'll end up with a smaller group of things which have survived that test of time. So if you think about it right now, if you go back and look at the bestseller lists for 1974, 1973, there's a lot of that that would have been highly regarded at the time, which people do not read anymore for a variety of reasons, and there's some that has survived, and that's a very telling distinction. So in a world where I'm turning 60 this year, you have a limited amount of time, all four of us have active lives, we want to make sure that if we're going to sit down, we're going to read carefully, we're going to meet and we're going to discuss it in detail, we want to make sure that the work is rewarding. And the best way to ensure that is by drawing from the past." amor towles
