Folks ~ Do Not Be Fooled ! It is still a Winter Wonderland out there even in May ! tons of Snow still left.

Within a few years from now, the snow will not completely melt in summer. The Grand Solar Minimum is real and very cold weather is in store for planet earth.

To help clear space and improve neighborhood access, crews are transporting and collecting snow from the street and relocating snow to the RFK site. This work helps open up tighter roadways, support safe travel, and make room for ongoing plowing and melting. Thank you for your patience as winter operations continue across the District.

I want to take a moment to give a huge shoutout to our Snow Team. This drone video captures our crews performing an echelon on Preston Highway- a coordinated snow-removal formation where multiple plows work side-by-side to clear several lanes at once and safely push snow off the roadway. Our Snow Team has been working around the clock, logging more than 125 hours by Tuesday afternoon alone. They’ve pushed through harsh conditions and long, demanding shifts to keep our dedicated snow routes clear and safe. This work is tough, critical, and often happens while the rest of the city is able to stay safely at home. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication, teamwork, and grit.

This happened in Philadelphia, they got over 9 inches of snow. The driver is accused of intentionally burying people in with snow and people are angry. If you watch it with no sound, it looks like he’s just doing his job. People were warned not to park in the street, where else was he supposed to push the snow if people ignored that warning?

A round of applause to our 175 airfield maintenance specialists out on the apron and runways tonight in our specialized snow removal vehicles that are designed and built to withstand the heaviest snow falls. So far our crews have cleared 10cm of snow across 4.2 million square meters across the airport. Our team will be working into the night to keep our runways clear for takeoff!
