I think that's one of the reasons this scene hits so hard. It's not just that Zoro disappears, it's that for the first time Luffy and the crew see someone they've always believed could overcome anything being completely powerless. Zoro was always the one who kept standing even when everything seemed impossible. And I love how that's reflected in Luffy's reaction. Or the host of the fundraiser shitting on those people *during the actual fundraiser*? Also, I am going to clear up James’ disinformation - literally nobody in the chat was being negative towards Karen. In fact, 90% of the negativity in the chat was directed at James. James was receiving so much negativity because of his own disrespectful and foolish behavior (watch the 2nd video to see just some examples of why I say that). However… Before you join the Army you have to take an ASVAB, the military’s intelligence test. It’s a test that someone with a 9th grade education can pass. It’s a test that determines what MOS (jobs) you are intelligent enough to qualify for. This video brought joyful tears to my eyes this morning. Two years ago, my nanny decided to leave abruptly. I was rotating through general surgery with heavy patient load, frequent calls, and needed to stay in the hospital for several days during unit calls and patients that required us to operate till 2am. My husband had just closed for the year. So I had to drop our 10-month-old with him for about 3 weeks before I got another nanny. He bathed her. Fed her. Washed her hair. Spent quality time with her while I was at work. I didn't have to choose between my career and my child because he stepped up. This morning, that little girl, now 3 years old, knocked on my door and said: "Mummy, open the door. I want to greet you and Daddy." Oh, my word! Fully cohesive. Fully intentional. I can't believe how much she's grown. People talk about "having it all" like it's something you do alone. It's not. You can be an excellent surgeon AND an excellent mother, but not without a strong support system. Who you marry matters because they hold the line when you can't. I'm grateful for this man.
