Every BEE partner is a cadre, leeching off of a legit business, hated by every member of staff there. Imagine no BEE - the owners could do so much more for their people without having to pay the leech. Prices could even come down once the feeding trough is closed.

I have always felt that the underlying premise of BEE is an insult to black people. It’s basically saying that the black person is incapable of starting their own business and must be helped by government to be thrust into a business started by a white person.

An anecdote from a family member.... When BEE was 1st to be introduced 2 high ranking anc officials went to corporates telling them to put them on their boards for X amount a month and they would not interfere in the company at all, so companies could get ahead of it.
