Nixie tubes for displaying numbers are so aesthetically pleasing

Its a delta debt counter. Display should be in k€. According to sticker its calibrated for Bundesschulden.

Pulse counter. We used these in high school auto shop in the 80s (though obviously not lab grade) for checking sensor signals.

Digital Dynamometer for measuring forces from 3 directions.

Nixie tubes. Beautiful. Whatever that equipment is, it would amazing to repurpose that into a clock. It would be front and center in my living room. Is that a good idea or sacrilegious considering its original use?

Those nixie tubes are beautiful. And you have a counter. I wonder, are there any BNC or other terminals on this machine so you can trigger counters 1 and 2?

HBM is a German manufacturer of force transducers and measuring instruments for strain gauge based transducers.

look at him go

An early digital laboratory instrument rack, used in engineering labs to turn analog signals (force, strain, pulses, frequency) into a precise numerical readout - before modern LCD/DSP instruments existed.

Its a vintage Hewlett-Packard 5246L frequency counter.

HBM DK37A digital indicator for high precision force measurements and calibration.

oh my god I've never seen a display so gorgeous

looks like every number is a glowing wire. can see the 8 and 7 wires here

timing is insane. how did you reset it? it went from like .6 second to .8

Those nixie tubes switch so fast thats very impressive to me

It's a pulse counter of some sort

It’s gorgeous

日本からこんにちは! ニキシー管ディスプレイはいつ見てもカッコいいですね!

looks like the counter of an old measuring point for speed monitoring.

seems to be an Event Counter, located in the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB)

That's a divergence meter. Stop changing timelines that fast please.

Pretty sure i saw one of those in Fallout 76 somewhere

Looks like a pulse counter to me, maybe input floating so it counts static

The fact that it has nixie tubes negates any of that unknown purpose. Those things are super cool, and just watching them is mesmerizing .

Love those nixie tubes. Always wanted to buy a clock with something similar

Use it to count ppm :)

Counter with nixies

it literally is counting?

That looks like a blender blade revolutions counter. Indispensable if one wants to make consistent metrology standard smoothies.

😍😍😍

With the "tare" adjustment, looks like it's for strain gauge measurements. Vintage equipment from

I think Fran Blanche (@contourcorsets) would like that display:

lol nuclear pulse counter xD

Everyone loves Nixie tubes. ❤️
