I had to put this all in one video to make it even clearer — The NBA has an OKC Thunder problem. The fans know it, broadcasters know it. THEY know they’re favored. When EVERYONE complains about ONE team, it’s serious. It’s not just SGA, he’s just the head of the snake. I’m not a “blame the refs” type, never have been. I actually hate when players focus too much on that. But this just makes for an unbearable product. The Thunder are EXTREMELY good. They don’t need extra help. They don’t need to be rewarded for their antics. A lot of it is an affront to the game. The physicality they play with needs to be allowed both ways or not at all. This is all from one game, but it’s every night against them. It looks and feels blatant. This isn’t basketball. The NBA needs to fix this.

Here it is!! We are now to the point where anyone, even OKC fans, who watch these games then try to pretend that this is normal, will lose all credibility. The same team every night gets the benefit of every 50/50 call, and then you have calls like this that are seemingly flat-out corrupt. On this play the refs clearly weren’t going to call a tech, until Alex Caruso tells the official and signals for the tech with his hands, then you subsequently have another player (Devin Booker), in now a long list of players and coaches who are ALL saying the same thing after going against this team. How many games do we need to see where all of these weird calls happen for only ONE NBA TEAM, before we say that it’s mathematically impossible to say it’s all a coincidence?? Devin Booker compares the current NBA to the scripted WWE tonight. Is that what we want the league to become……. A joke?? We stand with the players and coaches in the NBA who’ve been bold enough to call this stuff out!! (Via Oh No He Didn't— BrickCenter)

I’ve been saying for years that the NBA players and organizations as a whole have lost their way. Championships and attempting to craft your own legacy have outweighed showing up for fans. Players have to be on the court TRYING TO WIN for the people who bought tickets.

Nick Wright on what he thinks is the nightmare scenario for the 65-game rule: “So, that Wemby and Joker are not eligible. Luka doesn’t win his appeal. Cade and ANT are not eligible. And in that scenario you could argue that the six best seasons this year 5 of the 6 are not eligible, for anything. Expect By the way, you only have to play 58 games to be the statistically champ. So like, Luka if his appeal isn’t granted he’s going to win the scoring title and not be on the All-NBA team. And Joker if something was to happen to him tomorrow night and be knocked out of that game early and not play the next game would win the rebounds and assists championship and not be on the All-NBA team. So you would have the scoring, rebounding, assists champ Wemby going to be the blocks champ right? It’s just I don’t know it’s pretty ridiculous.” (Via What’s Wright? with Nick Wright)

This is dumb because without context everything sounds right. But the fact is that Kobe played with one of the worst rosters during possibly the strongest Western Conference of all time. The year LeBron went to the Finals in 2007, the entire All NBA 1st team and the entire All NBA 1st defensive team was represented by 10 PLAYERS ALL FROM THE WEST (Kobe being on both of them). That’s 10 players that were the cream of the crop of the league on both ends all in the freaking Western conference. Lebron coasted through the East always. From 2014 - 2018, the Eastern conference didn’t have ONE SINGLE ALL NBA 1st TEAM SELECTION (outside of LeBron James). All the best players played in the Western conference. Back to 2007, Kobe had an all time bad roster and yet he played the Suns team that boasted two All NBA 1st team players in Nash and Amari. Kobe’s averages in that series he lost to the Suns: 33PPG| 5Reb| 4Ast on 46%FG| 36%3PT| 92%FT When it’s LeBron it’s “He loses to tougher competition but he’s great”. When it’s Kobe it’s “He’s the mamba, what happened?” Different set of rules for Kobe always when Stephen A Smith is on the mic. Just like he punishes Kobe for having Shaq but not punishing Magic and Kareem for having eachother. A joke. Stephen A Smith has NEVER responded to these obvious hypocritical views concerning Kobe.
