Abuse of power, plain and simple. The guy was right that it was retaliation for doing something the officer didn't like. Crazy that instead of apologizing for blocking traffic, he writes the man a ticket, that is not adult behavior.

Another cop with an ego problem. Don't care who he was on the phone with it's against the law. I guarantee. you the law has no exception for cops calling on police business. This idiot cop thinks he's above the law. Then to retaliate like that, this is why qualified immunity should be stripped from all of them.

What's up with all these shitty cops lately - road rage - talk about abuse of power - last time I checked cops had to follow the same rules and laws as everyone else - with a few exceptions - phones and seatbelts are not one of them

Discovery goes two ways, my friend. When you subpoena the camera footage, the defendant gets to subpoena what you were *actually* doing on your phone. Then everyone gets to see how “work related” it was.
