Under the visionary leadership and guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, we are working with full commitment to build a strong and future-ready coal gasification ecosystem in the country. In this direction, the Government had earlier launched the first phase of the Coal Gasification Incentive Scheme with an allocation of ₹8,500 crore. Under this phase, 8 projects have already been sanctioned, with work on nearly 4 projects already underway on the ground. The remaining projects are also progressing rapidly. Further strengthening this mission, the Union Cabinet has now approved the second phase of the Coal Gasification Incentive Scheme with an outlay of ₹37,500 crore. In a short span of time, the coal ministry worked extensively to prepare the guidelines and bring the complete details of this incentive scheme before stakeholders.
