Before Dr. Taylor Marshall disclosed asking for the intercession of Francis, as was on display last week, it is worthwhile to recall what Marshall said about the same man just four years ago, in 2022. — For those unfamiliar with Marshall’s work, this was his fundamental attitude towards Francis... until his death, always being one of his most severe critics. In his video entitled “Who divides the Church, those speaking heresy or the heretics?” Dr. Marshall recounted the response of faithful Catholics to Archbishop Nestorius and his public profession of heresy, applauding those who denounced the heretical Archbishop. Marshall then defended himself against those who would say “Taylor, you can’t say that. You shouldn’t say that. That’s bad. You’re dividing the Church. You’re leading people out of the Church. No [emphatic] it’s the heretics [pointing at Cardinal Hollerich and Francis] who are dividing the Church.” After this, Dr. Taylor Marshall plainly and confidently called Francis a heretic. “Francis, heretic. In the public, word for word, denied what Pius XII taught. Heretic.” One must therefore ask: why would Marshall ask someone he identified as a heretic to intercede for him, especially if the heretic never publicly abjured his views and made public reparation? Does asking for a heretic to intercede for you make you a heretic also, or at least suspect of heresy? Asking for a philosopher friend.

One answer to this blatant contradiction is that in 2022 it was in the foreign policy interests of the American Empire to (kayfabe?) attack Bergoglio but in 2026 it may not be be in their current interests to attack Prevost. "We have always been at war with Eastasia"

This guy in my opinion is simply a grifter, mostly. He switched to the "V2 is actually based" stance that has developed over the past years among the chronically online recently converted genZ demographic. That's about it I reckon.

Same vibes as how he warned the world that Robert Prevost being elected would be the “worst case scenario.” Of course he deleted the evidence while he now praised the same “dangerous” cleric.

Why is anyone listening to what Taylor Marshall says in the first place? This is a serious problem amongst Catholics. Look to the Doctors of the Church and the(past)Popes who taught consistently, and not contradictory to the early Church Fathers. Marshall is a layman and a grift.

He didn't ask for intercession from Pope Francis. He prayed for Pope Francis, big difference. We as he stated can only ask for intercession from Saints and Pope Francis has not been declared a Saint.

This is insane and divisive for no reason. Dr Marshall attempted to correct Pope Francis in life, and has the humility to pray for his soul and ask for his prayers in return. He’s modeling Christian virtue, esp for someone we know he disagreed with.

@pontificatormax You cannot ask for the intercession of somebody you do not know us in heaven. He has not been canonized the St therefore we do not know he’s in heaven so you cannot pray to somebody like that and with his actions I find it highly likely he’s in the promised land

I recall this gem from a show he recorded in May 2019 (referring to Francis): “You’re wrong, you’re wrong, you’re wrong” (at the ~1:05:45 mark).

Taylor Marshall probably realized how much influence he had in culture of SSPX and their attendees. He influenced a lot of their scandals and he must know that. After their excommunication, I’m sure he got convicted about his approach to the Church. He is acting much better now.

Oh no! Bishop Bugoglia from Argentina, a "heretic!" Well, I did see that a statue of St. Peter, at the basilica of Buenas Aries Argentina had the keys in its hand, and Ty he halo atop it's head, got blown away by a lightening strike on Pope Francis birthday! 🤔

Is this saying anything other than that special graces and dignity are attached to the office of the papacy?

To be made holy means to be in sanctifying grace. When that happens is debatable of course. I am not a Francis defender. But I believe that every Pope is made holy before death at least, when they are most apt to be open to God’s grace and sorry for their sins.
