Before Eddie Van Halen, there was Rory Gallagher. 🎸

The Gallaghers are family friends. Rory was so talented and so fun to be around until the drink took hold. Rest peacefully, Rory.

He did what Page did EVH took it Miles further

Very underrated. One of my favorites

Rory Gallagher was FAR ahead of Eddie ............ 1st LP was in 1969. Rory was light years ahead!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@RandyLa35983906 One of the all time best

Saw him live at the Montreaux Jazz Festival the year I graduated high school. Mind blowing!

He played in Cleveland, a lot.

One of my all-time favorite guitarists. Unbelievably underrated and most times never heard of.

He’s great, but in no way shape or form is he close to Eddie Van Halen you have terrible judgment pick a new hobby

#BeforeRoryGallagher there was ....Elton Hayes and his small guitar!

Simply the best!

This is my favorite

Rory was a monster of real old time rock n roll.

Immortal, and criminally underrated

Three of the most underrated guitarists: Robin Trower, Tony McPhee (late guitarist-The Groundhogs), and, of course, the late, great Rory Gallagher.

Nope. Not remotely close.

Brian May followed ROY

There is a live version of Tatood Lady that is on the anniversary edtion of 74 Irish Tour that makes you wonder if Eddie had heard him play.

Rory was great but has nothing to do with VH. That guy was one of one.

Everyone knows the Eddie copied Rory Gallagher and Jimmy Page, this is a common and well known fact. Many of Eddie's famous techniques and riffs were not original and were done years to decades before. Eddie just took it mainstream.

LEGEND !!!

Miss you Rory 🎸

Rory sure knew how to strain a G string 🎸🤘😁

Hmm. Reminds me of Eddie.

Sorry last Gig was 1987 👇

Rory was nasty to be sure !

Before any of them was John McLaughlin

Genius !!

Great guitarist ! 🎸

Just stop. ZERO comparison. Eddie is and always will be the GOAT and its not even close.

FUE EL MEJOR GUITARRISTA QUE TUVO EL GRUPO OASIS

One of the most underrated guitarist of all time

maestro

My boy!

He was hot shit till he fell in with the needle.
