Former NBA star Enes Kanter Freedom has declared himself a WNBA prospect, says he meets every requirement necessary. The 6 ft 10 in, 250 pound player says he reviewed the WNBA eligibility criteria and has decided to declare himself eligible for the 2027 WNBA draft. The announcement comes after some WNBA coaches and players have announced their support of men in women’s sports. “My team and I have carefully examined the WNBA’s eligibility criteria and governing framework surrounding self-identification and inclusion,” he said. “Based on the current guidelines, I can and am officially declaring my eligibility for the upcoming WNBA draft in April 2027.” Congratulations!
