John Wick was almost called Scorn. Keanu Reeves kept referring to the movie as John Wick in interviews anyway. Writer Derek Kolstad said marketing finally went, “That’s 4-5 million dollars of free advertising. So it’s John Wick instead of Scorn.”

The knife fight in John Wick: Chapter 3 (2019) is pure action poetry. Keanu Reeves and the stunt team spent weeks choreographing the sequence with no CGI — just real knives, breakaway glass, and flawless timing. It’s violent ballet at its finest.

Keanu Reeves’ career was stuck in the straight-to-DVD wilderness, and then John Wick reframed him with absolute clarity. The film understood his physicality, his stillness, his presence, and rebuilt an action icon from the ground up.
