Before recording with VA’s for Catching Up Episode 2, I created a test animatic with me doing all the voices to get an idea of how each scene would flow! This allowed us to get a feel for each scene, and some of my temp audio even ended up...

Some of my storyboards from the opening of The Wild Robot. I liked the idea of the first shot in the film (after the pull-out from her eye) being Roz in a fetal position for "The Robot Hatches." But the idea got lost as it went through the production pipeline. I ended up using some stock photography and videos for some of the water in this scene. I think because the environment was such a character for us in these opening scenes. The photography seemed to help me to sell the contrast between Roz and the wilderness.

Here's some footage of Tom Hanks recording his part as Woody in Toy Story with the audio that would end up in the final film. It's pretty cool to see this footage and see Hanks record this character considering how it would be a big part of film history.

There was a lot of "Kong Vs Kremling" species tension in the cartoon, they were creating slurs for each other. The Kremlings were called "Pond gacks" by the Kongs, and then some episodes K. Rool would randomly roll up and hit them with this

How was the Super Bowl? I didn’t watch… I was too busy with my family to care. Catching the highlights of the halftime show, The NFL told hundreds of millions of English Speaking Americans to shut up, listen to this disgusting music you don’t even understand, and watch grown men dry hump each other. Goood job NFL for reminding me exactly why I don’t watch. 😀

Kenny Loggins slams Donald Trump for using 'Danger Zone' in an AI video where Trump drops poop on No Kings protesters “This is an unauthorized use of my performance. Nobody asked me for my permission, which I would have denied, and I request that my recording on this video is removed immediately" "I can’t imagine why anybody would want their music used or associated with something created with the sole purpose of dividing us. Too many people are trying to tear us apart, and we need to find new ways to come together" "We’re all Americans, and we’re all patriotic. There is no ‘us and them’ — that’s not who we are, nor is it what we should be. It’s all of us. We’re in this together, and it is my hope that we can embrace music as a way of celebrating and uniting each and every one of us"

Some updates on the multiview vistadream pipeline with Rerun! Rerun came in extremely useful here, as being able to visualize depths at each stage of the pipeline allowed me to debug some nasty bugs. Since the last time, I was only working with a single image input. I've added in VGGT as my multiview pose + depth estimator. It works REALLY well for getting camera poses, but the depths are not that great. To try and fix that, I estimated depth maps from MoGeV2 for each of the views, and scale+shift aligned them so that they would match up to the confident sections of VGGT's depth predictions. You can see in the video just how much sharper the visualized 2d depth maps are! The biggest issue continues to be the multiview consistency 🫠 That's up next, along with actually training the Gaussian splat. Lots of work went into actually understanding inputs+outputs for VGGT. I had some funky bugs where the confidence values would all collapse to true I'm also really excited for this pipeline to use Difix3D+ Nvidia instead of Flux Inpainting, it seems like a better suited for a multiview pipeline.

Jensen Ackles revealed he was asked if he could do a reverse 180 for a scene in Season 11 Episode 4 of Supernatural. “I don’t know maybe” He ended up doing it so perfectly the first take that even his co-star was shocked during the scene.
