Before there were hours-long podcasts, Moyer created almost a singular space where you could have in-depth, uninterrupted discussions about complex issues of war and politics. Even the set was designed to slow things down. I remember this 2010 appearance: shows Moyers' depth:

RIP to one of the most substantive, serious, thoughtful and humble media persons I've ever had the honor of knowing: Bill Moyers. As LBJ's WH Press Secretary, he turned against the US War Machine. His PBS program was one of the first I ever did, and was a huge inspiration.

and even after being exposed to real journalists like Moyers, you have become the trainwreck that you are today. Unreal

Thanks for showing this, Glenn. It reminds me how much I liked Moyers’ PBS program, and also how much we need your knowledge and perspective of world events.

His conversation with Joesph Campbell was some of the most inspiring television ever produced. Sad news.

Today, I held a Staff meeting where we had in-depth discussions about the use of air defense systems and the protection of our cities and communities. Steps were identified to make the use of the systems we already have more effective. We are also working on securing additional protection for Ukraine. We are very much counting on the "Patriot" system that Romania is preparing to provide, and I will be grateful to Romania for this crucial support. This is something that will truly help our people, our country, and our entire region. We continue to work with all our partners to secure stronger support for our defense—especially long-range solutions that could destroy a significant portion of Russian ballistic missiles before they even launch. This is one of the key issues of this war. The issue of our long-range capabilities and the necessary approvals from our partners, as well as the long-range shells and missiles we could use, is critical. Russian strikes will become impossible if we have the ability to destroy the occupier's launch sites, military airfields, and logistics hubs where they are located. Granting Ukraine these approvals and providing us with this weaponry would be the biggest step toward a real, just end to this war. Russia simply doesn't know how to fight without terror—terrorist strikes and their ability to create destruction have replaced tactics and strategy for the Russian leadership in this war.

Q: a moment recently when you felt your heart flutter 🐱 a heart fluttering moment? 🐥 there was a question like that earlier, it was “was there a moment recently where you felt your heart beat fast?” , but honestly there wasn’t a moment where my heart fluttered (recently), but lately one of the moments that made me feel the happiest, was when we went to the cat fair, and we were looking for things to buy for Mangchi, and talking about this and that and then going home and installing the stuff we bought a few days later, and telling Mangchi, can you go in there? I felt really happy then. That was the happiest memory I have as of recently. 🐱 Aha 🐥 Does your heart flutter because of me? 🐱 flutter? Hmmmm I don’t know about heart fluttering but there was a time I was really thankful for you. 🐥 recently? 🐱 it was just something you said 🐥 “just” something I said? 🐱 something that you said, not something you did I mean. It wasn’t something you said to me though. I think it was when we were installing that (Mangchi’s cat tower?), you were talking with Mangchi saying: dad is installing this for you, He’s making a space for you, you have your own space and I have my own space, but dad doesn’t have a space of his own, but he’s trying to make a space for you. You were saying stuff like this and I felt really thankful. 🐥 yeah recently I was thinking about that and felt a bit sorry, you were removing stuff to make space for Mangchi, in the office too there is my makeup, and here we have my computer, but at some point I realized that you don’t have a space you can fully call your own, that made me feel a bit sad. 🐱 it’s because the house is small, it can’t be helped, our house is small, what can we do about it? 🐥 I will try to spend less money
