@slater457 @ReformUKScot @reformparty_uk I disagree. Reform has been very clear on the need for serious border control. Ultimately, though, any party should be judged on what it actually delivers when given the opportunity and I fully intend to keep pushing for exactly that.

You lock your door at night. Not because you hate everyone outside it. Because you have a responsibility to the people inside it. A functioning border follows the same principle. Know who is entering. Know whether they have a right to enter. Refuse entry where necessary. Remove people who have no lawful right to remain. Compassion and security are not opposites. A government incapable of controlling its own border is failing one of the most basic duties of government: protecting the people already inside it. That shouldn't be controversial.

I fully agree that border control is important and necessary I don't disagree with that in principle Unfortunately, I doubt that Reform UK will deliver the necessary changes Reform are stuffed full of ex-Tories who brought us the Boriswave and constantly said they would stop the boats, send people to Rwanda, but ultimately did nothing The borders were wide open when people like Robert Jenrick and Suella Braverman held positions of power in the UK Government You wouldn't give a second chance to a joiner or a plasterer if he did a poor job the first time - you'd never pay for his services again Why should it be any different with politicians, who are doing an extremely important job very badly? The only party of any significance that is genuinely serious about getting tough on immigration is Restore Britain I simply don't trust Reform (and I voted for them in 2024)
