Doing a Ph.D. is by no means an easy feat. Quite demanding. It requires a lot of self-discipline, dedication and hard work. Be prepared deny yourself life pleasures for a period. But make some time to de-stress and socialize in moderation. You should be ready to take initiatives, explore all opportunities in your research to innovate and break new grounds. Contribute research papers to conferences and reputable international journals. Though there will be days that your body and emotions are telling you, you can’t take no more. You have to be prepared to dig in! It’s quite rewarding at the end when you see how much you have contributed to knowledge in your field.

It couldn’t have been said any better👌🏼 You only need to be in it to understand these tips. PhD will test and shake your very foundation. I have asked myself several times, "What did I get myself into?" But then, it's been a deep-thinking awakening and life-transforming journey. ALMOST THERE!
