As someone who had a very deep connection with the first movie, this scene means so much to me, while being a very beautiful tribute to Paul Newman with unused voice lines from 1 3 does a very good job at tying up a bunch of loose ends to apologize for 2 (and I still like 2)

“Racing wasn’t the best part of Doc’s life, you were.” Gosh this scene always breaks me, Don truly saw McQueen as the son he never had and it’s such a beautiful tribute to the late Paul Newman. The first Cars and Cars 3 are easily the most underrated Pixar movies.

Cars 3 and Cars 1 are genuinely some of Pixar’s finest and I’m so mad that the internet was psyoped into thinking that they suck

Fun fact They did actually make a scene that showed Doc Hudson’s death but cut it out because it was too depressing

This hits harder cuz the VA for Doc Hudson died. ✊😔

I know you usually shitpost but this scenes geniunely so heartfelt (Im frankly surprised scenes like this existed in 3 after what happened in 2)

Is it wrong to say that Cars is the best animated movie trilogy?

They are just not done the same anymore.

It was emotional because the voice actor of Doc passed away before production of the film. And this was Team Pixar's way of paying tribute to said voice actor, which is SO fricking beautiful...!
