Being an adult is so hard.

Hahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahah, A Ship with over 4000 people and they have a schedule. Just because your fat ass couldn’t make it in time doesn’t mean they don’t keep the schedule.

Imagine being so provincial as to think a cruise ship or an airliner will wait while you play your “I’m gonna show up at the last possible minute” game?

You always fly in the day before and stay close to the port, doesn’t everyone do this?

They weren't only 25 minutes late. They were 25 minutes past the latest point they could be late. Boarding on a ship that size can be as long as 2 hours, give or take.

When I worked on the ships we used to go out in deck on sailaway to watch the latecomers cry like this, bit of a sport watching them run thinking it’d stop They are told but think the world waits for them

They were WAY more late than 20 minutes!! The ship was already moving. You don't just get on a boat and it starts moving. There's a check in process & security checks to deal with first. Every time I was on a cruise we already had a couple drinks before the boat moved.

I’ve done that. Not a huge deal, but it can get pricey. Fly to the first port of call and they will let you onboard there. Frankly it’s a bargain for the time-management lesson. Cost my wife and I $300 for a flight and hotel in Nassau, and we had an extra day in Nassau.

This is a reminder to never book a flight the day of the cruise.

I truly do hope that’s a grown man crying. If not, what could make a man need a cruise that bad? I hope life isn’t beating him up fr.
