Being fat should not be a protected class because it’s a characteristic that a person has control over, unlike actual immutable characteristics such as skin colour or sex

The sad part is? She could actually win this, but only because of the law specific to her state that includes weight as a protected class. The driver was more than polite, imo. Both were placed in an awkward situation…one that was entirely unnecessary, since weight is a characteristic that she has control over. Society should not have to fit around her, though I’m not sure it could if it tried
