Start with the lazy parents first. They think everything is the school’s responsibility, from toilet training to courtesy, respect and discipline.

In theory that sounds great, but in reality we needed Marcus Rashford to embarrass the last government into making sure underprivileged kids didn’t starve to death during the pandemic, whilst they set a budget of 22 billion for an app. This is why we can’t have nice things.

you'd also need to change so kids can go to their local school (walkable) like I could as a kid, and make sure there are enough places there. And all the schools have the same resources and academic success profiles.
