Very harsh statements from the United States Ambassador to the UN, Mike Waltz, against the Kigali regime, during the emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council on the situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). In his speech, he firmly condemns Rwanda for its direct support to the M23, explicitly states that Rwandan troops (Rwandan Defence Forces, RDF) are deployed alongside the M23 rebels in eastern Congo (notably in Uvira, South Kivu), and describes this as deliberate sabotage of the peace agreements recently signed in Washington.
