Stanton hit a HR earlier, he did his damage.. Yet, he had already allowed a run to score because he couldn’t get near a ROUTINE flyball to Left-Center, and he exposed again from 6th on. And it is NOT G’s fault, he’s literally told NOT to run full speed, NOT to get hurt when reacting to a ball with his 1st step. So WTF is he in the game when the Bot6 starts and Cruz is ready to go with Warren going 1 batter at a time?? More so, Stanton was still in LF in 7th 4-3 Game! And 8th in 4-4 Game! Anyone who knows baseball is laughing at the @Yankees Analytic Dept, who have FAILED Every Year since they went all in on Analytics in 2014.. The analytic pushed decisions have been laughable. From the ALL RH lineup in YS to beat the shift, yet NOT taking into account that the opposing pitchers are going to get “locked in” so much easier, as they never need to adjust. And so many more. And it also is done to phase out veteran players/hitters in favor of cheap slot machines.. “place your max bet and max out your 3 pulls on the machine..” And if those younger players never develop, they’re happy, as they don’t have to pay them or vest them in at 10 yrs. — That is the business model of @MLB analytics➡️ max out probabilities to play .500 baseball and stay competitive to give a fanbase hope, focusing on playing .500 vs all the other organizations doing the same thing, thus keeping fan interest into Sept, then use top 30 “prospect lists” to feed fans “hopium”. yup. And teams who exploit the recognizable patterns/tendencies analytics create, ultimately win. As emphasizing how to play real baseball exploits PREDICTABLE analytics — because they can’t adjust when variables to create the probabilities they depend on to validate their little data sheets on how to run a game become unreliable due to breaks in player routines. Pulling Stanton in the 6th when @AaronBoone goes to his high leverage relievers to enhance the defense is NOT a new baseball concept, that is a basic thing any manager and coaching staff should understand and value, yet the losers in the Yankees analytic dept, and yes, they truly are losers, having allocated Billions in Salary since 2014 w/ZERO titles, don’t value defense, developing complete hitters, NOT slot machines like Volpe, or players that can deal with adversity and how adversity makes champions.
